Wave Strier Echo S5
Strier is pleased to introduce the the brand new fully redesigned Wave Strier named Echo. The Echo now has a range of roughly 300KM and a top speed of just over 100 knots with Hydrofoil(Speed) mode. The Other changes are as listed!

Crane
The Roof crane is deployed with the 4 Key and returned with the same, the crane is on an 15 second delay to make sure the boom is where it should be, if the boom is not out it will appear to do nothing and the pivots will go neutral so it might drift from center during the delay, simply Hit 4 to return and you are good to leave it

The roof crane is intended for Lite duty task and fighting fires with its water cannon, It will not lift a container nor will a container attach to the ship.

Auto-Hold Steering
The Echo will automatically set to a heading hold after you stop steering, The Rudder indicator on the overhead console shows the current adjustments, if your heading is 150 then it will remain on that heading until you steer again.

On the top right of the main console is a lever to adjust the steering sensitivity (Default is Max)

Cannon
I'm not concerned with having complicated weapons systems on the ship for performance concerns on an already complex vessel. What I did install is better than what it had with 200 Light cannon HE rounds and 80 heavy cannon
HE rounds.

ballistic calculator is controlled by the roof mounted gimbal and there is a manual mode. If you so choose the cannon can be deleted with no impact to the ship so long as you patch the hole.

Personally I don't use the weapons much but if you know of something to improve the cannon feel free to mention it in the comments section.

Advanced Autopilot

The Echo has an advanced Autopilot that will attempt to steer away from an Object or island and if it can't it will fall back on the auto stop. (This feature does not like bridges, especially the railroad.)

Drive Mode
The drive Mode selector currently only works with the UP and DOWN keys on the main seat or remote

Normal Mode - For normal operation of the ship. Speed of 60 knots, and high maneuverability.
Reverse Mode - For quick stops and going backwards
Speed Mode - For high speed travel on calm water and apparently handy for Tsunamis
Stability mode - For high waves, The ship is limited to half speed. cuts power to drives when nose goes too high and actively keeps the hose down with air surfaces.

Landing Pad
The new landing pad will raise up to meet the helicopter much like the old one but much better the button for which is on the Right side staircase when facing the front of the ship. (WARNING!) The landing pad is intended for smaller VTOL aircraft do not land an Osprey on it and tell me it broke.

With time I will release a landing kit for adding to any small helicopter you wish to adapt to the pad

The Hoist on the back of the ship is designed to move under or over the pad depending on it's position, more vehicles for the hoist are coming, for now. The Oscar link

Remote
The Remote now controls the Engines and drivers along with the crane and huge winch on the deck. CHANNEL 1 Is Engine and Drivers / Orbiters The controls are the same as the seat, I recommend getting familar with the controls.

CHANNEL 3 is The crane
CHANNEL 5 Is the huge winch.

Orbiter
To use the Orbiter position thrusters simply hit One (1) with the Captains seat or the remote. A camera will extend from the roof and the details will be displayed on the bridge wings, hoist pads, or side docking pads for use with the remote.

The Orbiters can also be used for emergency propulsion in the event you run out of jet fuel or the jets get damaged, Make sure you turn off course auto hold to allow steering at speed.

Scotts Bored Challenges
On the bridge is a Board with 4 challenges that once completed will unlock an easter egg in the captains quarters, I challenge you all to complete them without any snooping and cheating :)

Challenges are as follows
  • Travel 300Km Since spawn
  • Figure out the (Scott was here) Puzzle
  • Ascend to 10 meters with the ship
  • Land the Hopper helicopter on the pad while the ship is in waves and moving

Speed mode was on the delta as Overdrive, but the logic that controls those modes is completely new in the Echo, all the logic was stripped from the ship to remake it.

Sorry everyone, life has been busy and I have for the most part not been on steam. Which can be good considering when i do return It will be with renewed interest and new ideas/approaches, I will at-least try to respond more. If something(especially more recent) gets broken; let me know, and i will try to correct it as soon as possible!

so im just half way thru my first playing in this boat an ... you ever have that experience where you down load a work shop creation and your like "omg the guy who did this is like me but like much more polished and slicker and better .. im walking thru this and im like ah doors in the floor to access the pumps and so you can repair damaged bit i that just like i do ok that's cool they have all there stuff on a hud like what i do instead of it being three screens and 12 dials its one monitor i always wanted to do that but i dont know how .... ... so yeah basically that's what my experience has been like so far just like a successions of oh i do that to's ah that's a clever way of doing that .. i must try that too and that's so cool sorry im fanboying a bit over this but it is that cool and the level of thought thats gone into not just making it look good but functional is just yes so good keep it up and if you ever want to colab some time hit me up

i'm just curious (sorry if I didin't see it), do you plan on makeing anything makeing use a pressure, such as a working moonpool (where the air pressure keep the water out)

why does it take so much water in for so little damage
