Gashnor's Cursed Halo Reach (1.3)

Descripción
Welcome to Gashnor's Cursed Halo Reach!

As of patch 1.1, this now also supports every Firefight map! Fiesta also includes every single weapon in the sandbox for use as a possible spawn, so play as much as your heart desires!

As of patch 1.2.1, this now also supports Forge World. You can now mess with all of the weapons, vehicles, and equipment on your own or with a group. Patch 1.2.2 fixes a few weapons overlooked in the initial release of Forge World. It also adds "Test Dummies" to test weapons of Spartans, Elites, or Grunt Spartans.

A mod inspired by other cursed greats, like FatMan703's Cursed Super Mario World in 2010, or InfernoPlus' Cursed Halo in 2019. The mod changes up the entire game's sandbox, including weapons, vehicles, equipment, cutscenes, and even characters.

Play as a Spartan that can't sprint forward, play as a MJOLNIR-wearing Grunt that sends out peaceful negotiators that explode when dealing with the Covenant, play as a spooky undead Grunt that needs to deliver Captain Keyes' drink, and much more! Featuring 71 unique weapons, both new to Halo Reach, and ported over from Gashnor's Cursed Halo 3. Grab one of four generations of Xbox consoles and unleash
nostalgic chaos on the Covenant, drive new vehicles like the new Shopping Cart and NMPD Police Cruiser, or grab some armor abilities like the crop duster and Octo-Sniper Pack.

This is the culmination of thousands of hours of mod development, encompassing every mod I've ever made. Weapons from Halo 3 and ODST are back, as well as several fan favorite vehicles. Throw some F-Bombs at the enemies, featuring dialog effects recorded by the likes of MythicJaqui, abyssquick, TrouzrSchnauzer, and even the legend himself, HiddenXperia. The cosplaying grunts from Gashnor's Gruntpocalypse return to fight alongside the vanilla Covenant, featuring Grunts dressed as Hunters, Elites, Brutes, and even the Guta. Experience new encounters on levels, new cutscene modifications, and much more.

I'll be adding Firefight and Forge World MP in a future update so people can mess with the sandbox on their own.

I've modified some elements of cutscenes. Reach is a little weirder than prior games, so I didn't edit as much this time around since the audio is preset. For example, if I were to cut out a second of a scene, the rest of the cutscene would have audio desynced by a full second. So...

Cutscenes that have content altered:
  • Mister Actual (In full)
  • Summer Probability (Intro kind of, but 2nd cutscene after riding the Falcones)
  • Day Trip To Reach Tahoe (Both have minor modifications)
  • Just the Tip (Intro section small modifications, outro cutscene with bigger modification)
  • Battle For Space Normandy (Light modification to intro cutscene, addition to spaceship launch cutscene)
  • Business Trip (Intro)
  • The Night Life (Absolutely watch the outro cutscene)
  • Ice, Ice, Baby (Absolutely watch the outro cutscene)
  • Epilogue
  • The Column of Late Summer (Intro cutscene, Keyes cutscene most important)

These modifications to cutscenes range a bit, but I definitely tried to do what I could amidst the other modifications for the mod and think they make some silly additions. Levels not included weren't touched yet

I've actually open sourced my entire project for anyone to look or reference!

If you look at the mod description, the very bottom has a NexusMods link and you can see how everything was done!

Are you still there gashnor? Could you please teach me how to split the level 'the package' into 2 parts?

It worked fine after I restarted game

If it's crashing instantly in coop, 99% of the time that means one of the players didn't get the most recent mod update. Verify everyone shows 1.3 in game.

It happens because the host is running a version different than at least one person. If the game detects an instance where there is a change between versions, it crashes because the info it sends to clients doesn't match.

I've seen a few streams of people streaming this version, so I know coop is working normally still, so I'd recommend checking everyone's versions. Worst case, Steam workshop might need people to unsub and resub quickly so it doesn't need a full download again, but it will force an update.

Night Life level ain't working on co-op. You enter the level and it just insta-crashes.

Do you accidentally have the Black Eye skull on? That's the only thing that would prevent shields from charging while not taking damage

My shield keeps glitching/ wont regen. When this happens it breaks some of the check points
