As a backrooms nerd to answer Blake yes you are right but Fancy, Creator of escape the backrooms needed a model for them in some place where there is light, and personally it's been an ongoing question of rather or not the smiler has a body or not

i always find it weird when the smilers are modeled with a physical body, cause arent they just like a black mass, like no true physical shape or form to them?
