That's there to prevent cheese. Sliding is the intended solution, dropping it. Is not.

For most people, this is actually a bit difficult.

I don't see the purpose of the fizzler near the exit at the ceiling, as you can just let the ascension cube slide into the button. I assumed I would need to disable the fizzler, but now I think it is just there to mislead the player.

Also, what exactly makes this qualify as a medium to hard chamber, if I may ask, apart from the usage of elements that weren't present in the main campaign ?

Hah, I've passed this medium-hard test chamber on my first try!
I really liked the mechanic of Mono and Dual Portal Devices, even the Ascension Cube too!
