Wuhandong Railway Station

Wuhandong Railway Station, formerly known as "Liufang Station" and the project name "Guanggu Station"(Optics Valley Station) , is located in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, mainly serving Wuhan East Lake New Technology Development Zone. It is a railway station under the jurisdiction of Wuchang Depot of China Railway Wuhan Bureau Group Co., LTD., and one of the "two auxiliary" of "five main and two auxiliary" of Wuhan Railway hub passenger transport system

In 1906, Liufang Station was completed and put into use; On July 28, 2015, Liufang Station was demolished and rebuilt and the station yard was reconstructed(improve facilities and new built intercity train yard). The project was named Guanggu Station(Optics Valley Station). On August 30, 2020, Optics Valley Station was named Wuhandong Station; On August 12, 2022, Wuhandong Railway Station finally opened to traffic.

Train number start with "C"(cheng'ji in Chinese means intercity train) and "D" (dong'che in Chinese means EMU train) are common high-speed train stopped in intercity yard(platform 1-6). Train number start with "S" (shi'jiao in Chinese means train connect rural and urban) are new-town Metro Express(platform 1 only).
