Lara Croft - Casual Explorer (Tomb Raider Underworld)

Lara's Casual Explorer outfit from the Beneath the Ashes DLC, ported to SFM. Credit goes to Dusan of the Tomb Raider forums for creating XNAlara and converting the TRU models. Here[www.tombraiderforums.com] is the dedicated thread for XNALara where I got the model from.

Her backpack, holsters, and Thor's gear is bodygrouped. I added bones to some 3d pieces of her gear, as well as some bones in her hands and at her thighs you can lock her handguns to. Also added a copy of her backpack as a static prop.

In TRU, the cloth and leather parts of her gear has very fine detail that's handled by multiple bumpmaps. There's no shader in Source that can use these bumpmaps as is. I did what I could to combine the details with the main bumpmaps. It doesn't look as good as the original, but it looks significantly better than having nothing at all.

Lara's face is rigged onto bones, and bringing those vertex groups into Source's limitations would destroy too much fine detail. So, I used the bones to pose her face, converted those poses to vertex animations, and worked on them further from there. Her eyes and eyelids are still on bones, but the rest of her face has HL2 type flexes (and some flexes I added for her tongue). I tested extracting phonemes and can confirm, she's FACS-compliant. :)
