Description
The mod is obsolete, its support is discontinued, it will be removed after a while. If you need this mod for something, create a copy in advance.

The updated mods are here:

The mod adds new recipes (and adjusts some existing ones) for factories from the "Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids" mod.

Corrections

Melting steel from metal scraps at the factory now gives 15 units of steel (as with manual melting) instead of 10.
Carving stone blocks in the factory now gives 20 units (as with manual labor) instead of 10.

Explanation. For some reason, the mod authors made the production of some items in factories less efficient than in manual work. Most likely it was done by them for balance purposes, but I didn't like it. I turned a blind eye to some such recipes, as the drop in production efficiency was negligible. However, in the cases of steel and stone blocks, I could not tolerate the absurdly low efficiency of the factories.

To convert clothing material into synthread now requires chemfuel rather than plasteel. First, it's logical (in the real world, synthetic fabrics are made from petroleum products, not metals). Second, it's practical (let's be honest, no one in their right mind would waste valuable plasteel on relatively weak synthread).

New recipes

The mod also adds recipes for factories to produce some resources and items. They are logical and balanced. All recipes can be divided into two types: " at cost price " and "insanely expensive".

"At cost price " - these are recipes for things that you can get without much trouble, for example, by buying in a technologically advanced settlement. The cost of the resources you spend to produce them is equal to the cost of the final product.

"Insanely expensive" are recipes for things that are difficult to obtain, for example, by getting them as a reward for completing quests. The cost of the resources you spend to produce them is times the cost of the final product. This is done for balance purposes (so that you still have an incentive to take quests with rewards in the form of these items). From a lore standpoint, it can be assumed that your factories are less efficient than industrial units from the developed worlds.

Recipes "at cost price":

Synthread. 20 synthread is made from 20 chemfuel and 20 cloth (or leather patch).

Hyperweave. 20 hyperweave is made from 20 synthread and 10 plasteel.

Reinforced barrel. 1 Reinforced barrel is made from 200 steel, 20 plasteel, and 20 silver.

Recipes are "insanely expensive":

Mechanoid component. 1 mechanoid component is made from 1 advanced component, 50 gold, 200 silver and 20 plasteel.

Shield core. 1 shield core is made from 1 mechanoid component, 20 plasteel and 20 uranium.

Antigrain shell. 1 Antigrain shell is made from 500 uranium and 10 advanced components.

The production rate is the same as that of existing recipes. That is, it is low. Don't forget to go to the "Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids" settings and change the production speed of factories. I recommend putting a coefficient of 0.2 - this speeds up production by 5 times.

Answers to possible questions:

- What for? There are tons of mods with recipes.
- There is. But I wanted all this to happen with the participation of factories. Especially since the "Vanilla Factions Expanded - Mechanoids" mod was just asking for improvement. In it you can produce such rare resources as plasteel and neutroamine, but you can't directly produce synthread (only transform clothes - I don't understand why it was so complicated) or make hyperweave.
Also, existing recipe mods often have things in them that I consider redundant. I tried to be more moderate and not add too cool stuff. The most powerful item here is the Antigrain shell. I'll explain why I added it. As a rule, if I get an Antigrain shell, I save it for a special occasion. But that special occasion never comes. That's why these powerful shells are usually lying around for nothing. It's just a shame to waste them. However, if you add the ability to produce them (even at a very expensive price), this psychological barrier disappears.

I love this Idea and those were questions I was asking myself.
