Orero's Time Warp

Description
Orero's Time Warp is a game balance mod that allows you to change the speed of attack animations, up to 70% faster or 30% slower. You can adjust each weapon's light and heavy attacks individually, allowing you to dial in the way the game feels exactly how you want it. There are also options for adjusting the attack speed of NPCs in several useful ways.

Orero's Time Warp is highly compatible. It makes no table edits and modifies no base game assets - the changes are made entirely on-the-fly. Any mod weapon that uses the standard weapon types can be configured with this mod, as can most NPCs including thralls, pets, and bosses. It also works with mods that change the standard combos. As for mod weapons with completely new animations, that's a work in progress and it depends on the approval of that mod's author. If you're one such mod author and you'd like your weapons to be adjustable with Orero's Time Warp, please get in touch on Discord. It's easy to do, I just need your permission and the names of your combo types.

The mod's position in the load order doesn't matter. Put it anywhere you like.

Future plans for the mod are mostly around providing better granularity so that it'll be possible to adjust bosses seperately from normal enemies, or to adjust a specific type of NPC like shalebacks or undead. Drop me a line if you've got any ideas on what the categories should be.

If you've got any questions or suggestions or just need some help setting it up, feel free to drop by my Discord.

Next time I update this I'll try to delay the application of the speed scaling by a frame or two, hopefully that's all it takes to restore compatibility with IQOL. Not that many people are using it anymore.

For anyone, who's mod doesn't work for them, "Improved Quality of Life 3.5.1" seems to be the problem. Orero's Time Warp worked for me as intended, and then, as soon as I installed "Improved Quality of Life 3.5.1", it stopped working.

Now I have removed "Improved Quality of Life 3.5.1" and Orero's Time Warp works again.

Testing at the moment and works perfectly for me (exiled lands map), thank you so much. Gives me a more Black Desert vibe to combat speed now! Thanks!

It sounds like one of the changes in the latest Funcom patch might have affected the way the mod works. I just started a new job so I don't know when I'll have time to look at it.

I am having the same issue as Darchon is. Does the mod not work on Siptah?
Darchon Apr 9, 2024 @ 2:52am
i myself was looking for some menu and had to watch the video to realize where it was. it would hv been more helpful if you had put instructions clearly on the description page. for those who couldnt figure it out, you have to make yourself admin first in server settings (if you're playing in single player mode), then press R.

and by the way, i dont think its working for me. any change in the sliders doesnt seem to increase or decrease speeds for any weapon i choose.

Thanks Orero, this is going to be one of my permanent mods. Even just for the pet attack speed alone, makes them a little more useful.

Can you add all in one speed setting for player too?
Jeri Jan 27, 2024 @ 6:03am
Yes, that is right - :)

If, for instance, I want to increase all of them 5% I must do it one by one. It is better if we can do the change at once, in just one strike. It takes less time and increases QoL :)

But good to keep that we can go in after the general change and then just change some solitary/specific value if we need or want to.
