Description
ATTENTION
This is a version of a mod with WH1/WH2 UI sounds that requires additional mod which you can get here.
You can also find there more info about the sound side of the mod.

If you wish to have the UI with vanilla WH3 UI sounds, you can find it here.

Also, ensure you're playing at 1920x1080 or higher resolution for the mod to work properly.

Summary
This mod brings the legacy parchment UI + golden UI for WH1 factions and stone/silver UI for WH2 factions and adds an equivalent of similar UI to new WH3 factions making the UI overall less dark and flat.

If you encounter an issue and want it fixed, leave a comment with the information what is the issue and how can I reproduce it. If you wish to make my work faster and easier, upload a screenshot somewhere and attach a link. That would be perfect.
Common bugs/issues that can be caused by this mod at it's current stage:
- overlapping/colliding textures
- difficult to read text - dark text on dark background or light text on light background

If you have any suggestions, you can leave a comment with them and I may or may not act upon them. I made the mod mainly for myself, meaning I'm not gonna implement something I'm not gonna like. Maybe harsh but honest.

Compatibility
Save game compatible - yes. The mod is save game compatible as it only changes UI look.
MIXER - yes, compatible.
SFO - probably incompatible. You'd have to test and see, but probably submod is required.
Other UI mods - probably not. This is an extensive UI overhaul editing a large part of TWUI files. The mod is most likely not compatible with other UI mods. It has been reported that moving other UI mods above mine in the load order does help in some cases. You need to test and see.
In case of mods that add new mechanics/features to factions with their own components or give existing factions access to mechanics they normally don't have an access to (such as warband upgrades), I can't say with certainty how are they going to work and look.

I just installed and tried this mod with the WH1/WH2 sounds and it was so beautiful I almost shed a tear. I had forgotten how much I hated the WH3 UI, just terrible it kept me from playing WH3 for almost a year.

However my very first battle was an auto resolve as Empire vs Orges and the game freezes and crashes to desktop, similar to what Waveshaper is experiencing. Please consider fixing this and freeing us from the tyranny of the WH3 UI!

After extensive testing I can confirm this mod (as of 6.0) breaks the Ogres. The new UI elements are missing (meat meter) on the left, and pre-battle screen still has the old UI elements (use meat for more Charge bonus). Upon autoresolving a battle (or perhaps even after manual, point is you reach the post-battle menu) the UI does not come back and the game crashes to desktop.

Since many years I hate these lasy modern box for UI in every game (since Banished etc), without any adaptation to the game itself.

Now it's immersive, thks ;)

@iDon'tSpeakRussian!: I had a brief look at the SCM mod and I honestly have no idea what's going on there. I was unable to find a specific conflict that should be causing this behavior because from what I've seen, it doesn't happen with other mods, such as OvN (from what I've seen in my brief testing, I am not using them).

As for the crash - crashes are an expected behavior when the game is trying to load a UI element that doesn't exist (e.g. incorrect image path). However, if that was this specific case, it wouldn't crash for only one map but for all maps. Again - no idea what's going on there.

Pickmeister I have a question for you about non-english localizations. Can this issue you've mentioned in "known issues" thread manifest in having no names above character models in campaign map? You know the ones that hover above their heads. I've noticed this to be the problem with modded characters interestingly enough only when using this mod (example SCM Marienburg's legendary lord). Also something odd I can replicate almost on every playthrough is whenever I assault helmgart once I restart the battle I get CTD within a minute (doesn't seem to happen on other maps, maybe something wierd about imperial fort?)

just to clarify, when I said arc I have meant the UI showing you what's in range, you know like the area on the ground showing you if something is shootable or you need to turn to shoot or move further to shoot. Not sure what's the right word for it
