Installation and link

REMARK: Use 1.0006 version of the game as there were reports of not functioning on former versions of the game. I haven't tested it so beware.

1.Download archive:

2.Extract files from archive and move them to root folder of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl.

3.Open fsgame.ltx in your root folder and change in gamedata row from ''false'' to ''true''.

4. Launch a game and open console with tilde (~) button on keyboard. Scroll up with page up button
until you will find:

It should show ''present''

5. Here's my settings that i use, you can tamper with it and test changes yourself. After any changes in settings - exit from the game entirely and run again to apply them.



6. Launch new game or your save file and test sound in enclosed space, basement or underground labs for any changes.

I have real hardware that supports EAX (Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium) I see EAX enabled on the console. Do I only need the levels folder? I see that everything else is to bypass not having EAX compatible hardware.

I tried only copying the levels folder but I can't hear any difference.

Yeah, you need to add sound environments in level editor manually. Too be honest i'm lazy to do it myself. For SoC I found created level files.

EnvFX does support Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat.
Sadly, there weren't any EAX files ready for these two games, so i had to make my own with a level editor.

No, unfortunately. I don't know if this kind of mod exist for CS and CoP. If I had files I would have created guides for them separately.

Nice work. You made this mod very easy to install. Unfortunately, I can't use it because I've got the unofficial 1.0008 patch to fix the slow mouse sensitivity in menus and it doesn't work with that version. I wish I could find another fix for that. I tested it with 1.0006 and it works

The step 3 is actually unnecessary (for some reason everyne keeps copy-pasting it even though it's redundant).

It's supposed to work with any mod that has original levels.
