49 BC - Caesar's Civil War 1.0

Description
This is a historically accurate mod starting in 49 BC which covers the era of Caesar’s civil war with Pompey Magnus and the Senate.

The year is 49BC. Over the past decade, Julius Caesar has vanquished every nation of Gaul that dared stand against Rome. Having legally overspent his political tenure and illegally raised legions that are loyal directly to him – the Optimates in the Senate have laid legal charges against Caesar and demand that Caesar step down from political office, disband his legions and submit himself for trail in Rome. Such an act would be political and literal suicide, as his many enemies in the Senate would take the opportunity to rid the Republic of Caesar once and for all.
Following the death of the Triumvir Crassus, the Triumvirate which governed Rome has fallen apart. Now Caesar stands in Italy with his legions, ready to cross the Rubicon river and march on Rome itself.

- Starting positions reflect the world of 49 BC
- Parthian Empire has been unified with its vassals
- Removed secondary political parties for Roman and Parthian factions (result: no Roman or Parthian civil Wars)
- 12 turns per year

Final note: I'm working on various mod projects for Atilla for my 'Dark Ages' series, I have ambitions to cover important dates and periods throughout the Dark Ages via modding the TW Atilla Grand Campaign. The latter projects from AD 705 onwards will import all units from the Age of Charlemagne expansion pack and additional new units into the game.

These projects I plan to create are as followed:

- Dark Ages AD 533 - Renovatio Imperii
- Dark Ages AD 622 - Clash of Empires, Rise and Fall
- Dark Ages AD 705 - Age of Justinian II and the Byzantine-Arab Wars
- Dark Ages AD 768 - The Age of Charlemagne
- Dark Ages AD 867 - The Age of Vikings
- Dark Ages AD 976 - The Age of Basil II

@ArcticTemper Colors don't matter, Roman maps didn't show them in red too. Too many movies..

Anyway is this compattible with Para bellum?

Surely Rome should be red and Caesar should be some other colour?

Can you give pompey's generals starting unit as bodyguard cavalry instead of infantry?

Can you do one that is similar to this time period but using the Wrath of Sparta map, just Caesar vs. Pompey during the phase of the civil war in Greece (like the battle of Dyrrhachium and Pharsalus)?

I hope Para Bellum takes it up in the collection like the Sulla vs Marius mod, if the modder agrees offcourse.

Hi, why can't I see the "New Campaign" in the menu? I saw a comment stating that we must pick the Imperator Augustus Campaign and I found that it works to an extend but not the same way as seen in the screenshots. Any help would be great, thanks!

Fun mod but very unbalanced for multiplayer since Caesar starts with level 3 barracks and can start researching level 4 while SPQR is far away either
