EGA Trek

Based on the design from the old DOS game 'EGA Trek', this starship is noticeable for it's triangle-based primary hull and lower, tightly placed nacelles. The yellow / gold I chose to paint it with is a reference to in the game, when you activated shields the color outline would change from white to yellow.

I was inspired to make this as I was watching ADG on YouTube review EGA Trek and thought, that's actually not a bad idea. Let's make that in SC:O. And so I did. I'm adding some own flair here below.

History:
The USS Lexington RCB-92 was one of many ships in service of the Union when the Mongol Empire declared war upon them. Thrust into the field of battle, the Lexington performed admirably through various hostile skirmishes and heavy damage.

In the end, a peace treaty was signed as the war ended.

Details:
Roughly 290m in length, 121m breadth, 64m in height. Secondary Hull 150m length, 30m dia. with a crew complement of around 450. Max speed of Warp 6, Warp 8 for 24 hours. Class IV Shields, 3-banks of dual-phaser lasers and 3-tube torpedo launcher.

Interesting Notes:
It's Torpedo is the most powerful weapon it has. But under the control of AI, it'll never use it.
In the hands of a player, this ship is capable of single-handed wipe out everything it comes across.

It can even bully the Scryve Battlecruiser.

It is a fiiine ship! A good boi / gal.

Notes:
The "Mongol Empire" shouldn't be confused with something akin to Genghis Khan. In Star Trek TOS, the original Klingons were much closer in style and manners to that of Mongol depiction and they are still one of my favorite kinds of Klingons. Kor is simply legendary. In later Trek, this was changed to become more of that of Space Vikings. With this being said, there exists two different kinds of EGA Trek, one being straight up Star Trek and thus they were Klingon Empire. But in the updated version, they were changed to Mongol Empire, just as the Enterprise were changed to the Lexington and a more triangle shaped hull with lowered nacelles.

Finally, isn't it a bloody shame we can't play the campaign with our custom ships instead?
