If you run Vanilla Expanded Framework, the weapons will count as melee for brawlers.

Balanced considerably from original (see above for a patch to restore original OP settings)

Apologies, I did try to apply what you gave me. Obviously I messed something up. If you want to fix it and supply me the XML I'll gladly update with it. Or run your own copy. Whatever you prefer.

Agreed. That basically makes this mod OP as F***. I tried to go through I balance the numbers for the mod author since he claimed he was interested. But then didn't ACTUALLY follow the numbers I stipulated. I kept a copy of the mod... I may just try to figure out how to do it myself in the code (about half way there so far) and balance it for my own use.

I made some industrial throwing knives and they have better melee DPS as a legendary steel halberd (vanilla expanded) for a fraction of the cost, they're kinda nutty

The melee dps on most of these are still way beyond anything the vanilla melee weapons offer and the accuracy is better than any of the vanilla ranged weapons. So there's really no point in using vanilla weapon at all if you use this mod.

Sounds good. Hope I didn't come off as a jerk before. But I'm more than happy to apply my balance-sense to the mod if you care to hear it. Give me a day to go over everything and I'll be happy to drop you a line. If you like. You can send me a friend request and I'll give you a full briefing on each weapon and how (i think) would be best served for balance. I'll even include my reasons as to why if you like. That way I'm not cluttering up your comment log. :steamthumbsup:

Updated: Lowered the Ula stats to make it slower, less range, less damaging.

I never claimed it was balanced. I just continued the original mod, and now I'm happy to tweak it. The original settings are available via a patch above, so let's go wild. Do a full review and let me know what you think should be done, and I'll do it.

Then, it also appears that things like the shuriken are simply better than the longsword in melee in every possible way? It costs only 20 to make instead or 80. and does MORE melee damage than the longsword. Let's not forget that the longsword can't be used at range either. I love the idea of some throwing weapons, but these just aren't balanced in any way.

The Ula has the same throwing distance (10) as the rungu and doesn't cost anything more to make. Its simply better in every way compared to both the club and the rungu. It should be balanced down somehow. Slower, less range... something.
