The Dungeon Chef Mod

A specialist in eating monsters, the Dungeon Chef lives self-sufficient life inside dungeons. Unable to bear the sight of the heroes of the Hamlet recklessly trying to cook a Sea Maggot, he has joined to take over the cooking duties. A hale fellow who has studies monster cuisine for most of his long life, he acts as both a Father and Mother figure to the party, and is someone you can count on to have your back.

=====Overview=====


Based on Senshi from the Manga and Anime Dungeon Meshi, the Dungeon Chef is a tanky frontline support with powerful percentage based healing and utility while still dishing out decent damage. However, due to insistence that no food be wasted, he only brings a limited amount of prepared foodstuffs into battle and must harvest more from the battlefield itself.

All of his healing counts as food healing.

The Dungeon Chef brings 2 food as provisions and has a chance to find more usable meat on the creatures slain after every battle.

On Crit, the Dungeon Chef gains +1 healing done for 3 turns.

The Dungeon Chef is not religious and uses the Outsider's Bonfire.

His Camping Skills provide powerful team support and can produce extra supplies for the journey.

Debuff the accuracy and damage dealt by the enemy frontline and Mark them for 3 turns. Has a chance to stun against Bleeding targets.

Tasty Snacks

Heals the party by a low amount based on their max hp and slightly reduces stress. Counts as food healing.

Meal Prep

Refresh skill uses and destroy all Corpses. For each corpse destroyed, heal a moderate amount based on your max hp and increase the amount of healing done by a flat amount for the rest of the battle.

Dungeon Meshi

Restore 10% of the party's max hp and heal 10 stress. Produce a random amount of food.

Healthy Habits

Cost: 4
Increase all allies healing received by 15%, food healing received by 25%, and Disease resist by 25%.

Protect the Youngsters

Cost: 3
Increase the Dungeon Chef's healing by 20% and while Guarding, his prot is increased by 25%

Waste Not, Want Not

Cost 2
Produce 1-2 Bandages, 1-2 Antivenoms, and either a Medical Herb of a Holy Water.

I'd prefer if you ask if you want to upload this mod anywhere else or make changes to it, but I really don't mind as long as I'm credited.

Meal Prep was programmed in a janky, lazy way and might cause an issue where it will count still living enemies, but this is very rare.

Originally, he was meant to have his refresh be on kill with either attack, but for some reason that's not something that can be innately programmed and needs an extremely complex workarounds that my brain was too smooth to do properly. The code for my attempt at this is still in the files if someone wants to correct my mistakes.

Most dialogue is sourced directly from the manga (EHScans), with blanks filled with a mix of Kryten from Red Dwarf, the Dwarves from Deep Rock Galactic, Various Dwarves from Warcraft 3, references to Boatmurdered, and oddly enough, Fesh Pince amoungst other various sources. There ended up being more swearing then I originally planned on, my compromise was to have the worst of it be heavily accented.

I was talked out of having him be helmetless in at least one of his sprites, but tell you what: If I ever get around to commissioning a topless Izutsumi skin, I'll commission a lewd Senshi at the same time.
