Tether - The Dota 2 Ping Tester
By Krad
Here is the next build of my Dota 2 utility named Tether, a tool to check Dota 2 servers ping. It’s a very simple application and all the tasks can be done in other ways like using command prompt. I just make it for personal using and for people who aren’t familiar with command prompt, console or just lazy, hope you enjoy!

What can it do?
1. Check Ping
The lower ping you get, the less delay you play. Just check in the boxes with the servers you want to ping then click the button and wait for the job done. It will be painful to see a bunch of red ping boxex showing.
The “Steam Status” on the tray shows the status of steam server at the moment: Online or Down

2. Check Loss
Even when you get low ping, if you have too many packets lost, it means you have unstable connection and you will suffer the LAG monster.

3. Enable in-game NetGraph
Many people wonder how to show the fps and ping in-game like this:
imageIt’s so fockin’ ez even without the tool! But if you are too lazy to use google or too meh to use console, it’s what you need.
Just open the tab, enter the SteamApps folder path (actually, the path will be automatically detected, you don’t need to browse at all), choose your screen resolution then click the big button. After that, you can press the “Home” key when you’re ingame to toggle the netgraph show/hide on the top bar.

Seems useful but all of these things can be accomplished already with a little work! I think you should add some things to make it stand out a little more from just taking some time to check it yourself. This has lots of potential though!
