Set the lenght of season

If you set it to the max, you may have enough time to fool all the women around or make a couple of hundred stone knives. You can always skip the rest of the season sleeping by the campfire or in bed. Also, the basic settings allow you to avoid most of the routine (e.g. "fast crafting" and "fast building" etc.) You can always change all settings during the game.

Prepare for winter

Oooh yes, now "winter is coming". It is necessary to buy warm clothes before autumn (up to +75 cold resistance). Or you'll have to stay home and sleep tops to tails with Sedowin all winter long! Buy clothes at the market or try your luck with crushed wagons or destroyed houses in neighbourhood.

Making money

It has become even less profitable to sell your crafts: now stone knives will not save you from bankruptcy. Easy money can be earned by completing tasks from the Piastovia notice board. A raid on abandoned buildings will also help to improve the shattered financial well-being.
P.S. you will not be disappointed if you look into Mirogod's stash in his house.
Hunting and fighting

Attention! The furry bastards have become more aggressive and started hunt in packs! However, hunting is a profitable activity! A bow and arrows can be obtained by completing the first few tasks of the main plot (they will be in the chest to the left of the Sedowin's house). Simple leather bags can be made for sale without using the sewing hut.
To increase your efficiency:
  • use the "Tracker" perk (hold L.Alt);
  • shoot in the head;
  • buy information about animal and bird habitats from a hunter (fisher can tel the same about fish spots);
  • the crossbow can shoot out of the water;
  • herbivorous animals run in circles (except bison);
  • use potions (e.g. potion of night vision, potion of camouflage etc.)
Exploration

"...It was a vehicle that could hover and explore any planetary terrain... The Donkey". First, take '"Village whistleblower" perk (allows to summon the mount). Then, buy yourself the big-eared lowrider in the Skauki village and equip it with a saddle. Done! Now you can cosplay Shrek and save the princess from the Mirogod!
"Carrot&Stick", "Night rider" and "Skilled rider" perks will allow you to make a mobile high-speed warehouse out of a donkey. And don't forget to build a shelter for your mount.

Settlement: nice & easy
After the castellan allows you to build on Oxbow land, you can build your own settlement. However, a large settlement requires a large number of buildings, constant attention and a lot of workers (who constantly and uncontrollably breed).
Same time, the settlement allows you to quickly develop skills and provides you with resources, weapons and tools for free. This section was created to solve a simple task: to build a viable autonomous settlement with the lowest cost of ownership.

The supply chain will look like this:

Also, when choosing a spot for settlement, remember that: uneven terrain, temporary camps, territories of other settlements and water barriers - prevent construction. A village with fields and barns will require large flat surfaces. However, a small mining settlement will require an small area of 50*50 m (160*160 ft).

Basic tips for comfortable construction and hiring workers:
  • use iron tools;
  • use perks (e.g. Master of Destruction);
  • place tools and materials for workers in storages (not in production buildings);
  • hire workers only with the necessary skills (at least the level 3);
  • by completing wife's tasks, you'll be able to hire unique workers (skills level 4+);
  • maple trees provide the most logs;
  • if there are few trees in the area, entrust the extraction to a lumberjack;
  • wild animals cease to appear within the territory of the settlement.

does beetroot grow wild?
If you guys want to have a lot of storage, just travel to a corner of the map and make a lot of storage room there :D they are connected by the force of the lord so you will get tons of space :D

FWIW, if you do not want to build additional storage you can simply remove heavy items like wood, stone, bars, ore, firewood, planks and drop it on the floor. If you run low, put stuff back in.
There can easily become a point where you out produce what you can store but additional buildings cut into your building limits, assuming you play with those.
I play vanilla, meaning I have default limits, I can't carry tons etc and I easily out produce what the buildings can hold. Just takes patience and experience.

TunaSamich, if you are referring to lost goods (carts, baskets, etc.), I have not yet put them on the map, because their location changes randomly, as well as the camps of loggers, fishermen and hunters.

oetzina, There is a huge stone (menhir) at the crossroad. For me, it's like a natural landmark (Flurname/Riedname). some quests are tied to such places (for example, one of the quests is tied to a tree in a swamp). Of course, it's up to you to decide how unusual a huge menhir is.:steammocking:

Squiggums, I agree, this is a quest location. At the same time, salt can be extracted there. I think it's technically a mine. Well, maybe "the baby mine")))

azhockeynut, Thank you for the long and detailed comment. The option you have suggested has its advantages. However, the option presented in the guide is aimed at the autonomy of the settlement, which is impossible without a well.
