Description
DENMARK-NORWAY (CHRISTIAN IV)
Unique Trait: Dominium Maris Baltici
Coastal cities begin connected to the Capital (if otherwise possible with a Harbor). Gain Great Admiral Points from acquiring coastal cities, the amount increasing the more coastal cities you have than other Civilizations.

Unique Unit: Kontreadmiral
The Kontreadmiral is the unique Great Admiral replacement for Denmark-Norway under Christian IV. It can be used to construct the special Citadel improvement which gives a big defensive bonus to any unit occupying it, damages enemy units moving adjacent, and puts all adjacent tiles into your territory. This Citadel may also be used by Land Units to cross single-tile land gaps, but it cannot be built adjacent to another Citadel. The Kontreadmiral is converted into the strongest available Naval Combat Unit when it builds the Citadel, beginning with +30XP when doing so, as well as beginning with any free XP gained from nearby cities. After researching Astronomy, any Settlers trained in a city within three tiles of a Citadel created by a Kontreadmiral are spawned there, provided the Citadel is occupied by a friendly Naval Combat Unit and no other unit. Like the Great Admiral, the Kontreadmiral also provides a 15% combat bonus to all player-owned naval units within 2 tiles, although Naval Combat Units that were spawned from the Kontreadmiral do not provide this bonus.

Unique Unit: Jagt
The unique Jagt is the Frigate replacement for Denmark-Norway under Christian IV. While this unit is much weaker than the Frigate, it is slighty faster and does not require Iron to be built. The Jagt begins with the Survivalism I and Scouting I promotions, meaning it can be further promoted with their upgrades. When a Jagt is promoted with a Survivalism or Scouting promotion, it increases the Production progress toward a Settler in the closest city. Build Jagts to take a lead on exploring and colonizing unclaimed lands.
DENMARK (HARALD BLUETOOTH)
Unique Unit: Snekkja
The Snekkja is an early naval unit unique to Denmark, replacing the Galleass. Unlike the Galleass, the Snekkja is available at Optics and, though it is slightly weaker, it can enter foreign territory and cross oceans immediately. Use Snekkja to scout the waters long before other civilizations.

  • Clarified in the UA that the automatic connection only bypasses needed a Harbour (and still requires other conditions; i.e. researched the Wheel; clear line of sight across water, etc.).
  • Christian no longer begins with a free Merchant specialist in each coastal city and now the Great Admiral Points earned when conquering a coastal city increases for each coastal city you have more than other civs (the enemy when conquering, known civs when settling).
  • Christian IV now gets the Jagt instead of the Norwegian Ski Infantry.
  • When the Kontreadmiral converts into a Naval Combat Unit after building a Citadel, it now begins with XP from any other sources (such as from nearby cities or globally) as well as the free 30.
  • After Astronomy, Settlers trained in cities within three tiles of a Citadel created by a Kontreadmiral and occupied by a friendly Naval Combat Unit (and no other Units) are spawned there instead.
  • The Kontreadmiral's Citadel can now be used to connect Oil.
  • Incorporated Harald Bluetooth's new city list from its old revision mod.
  • Added new city list for Denmark-Norway thanks to DarthKyofu.
  • Updated Civ icon and colours thanks to DarthKyofu.
  • Various text, supports, and code standardizations/optimizations.
  • Fixed black outlines on Civ Icon and Unit Flag alphas (where applicable).
  • Fixed issue where the ambience in the leaderscene overwrote the music (where applicable).

What happened to the Norway mod? Why is it removed and can you please put it up again? It was my favorite mod and now it's suddenly gone.

I am only subscribed to your mods and listed compatible mods. When I use a Kontreadmiral to make a citadel it doesn't consume it. This is ecxtremely OP. I think its an overlap with your other mods. Not sure if you still make these or edit thes, but you might want to check this out.

Considering the era Bluetooth is from, would it be out of the question to rename his "Denmark" to "The Danes"?

Download 7zip (it's freeware, and takes next to no time to install)
Download the Civ5Mod file from here -> Direct Download[ www.dropbox.com ]
Place the Civ5Mod in MyDocuments> MyGames> Sid Meiers Civilization 5> MODS
Right click the Civ5Mod file and select 7zip -> Extract to "JFD's - (insert civilization here)
Start the game up and hit Mods
Enable the mod
Click Next and begin a game.

And what do you think we Norwegians think about Denmark, when they did such as basicly taking us? After the struggle of makinga propper kingdom, and not only small kings, and we colonized all that we could. Parts of what is now England, France, Scotland, Iceland, Greenland, THE USA. And do you know why we lost it all? Basicly because of Denmark. Possibly not the English and french parts and such, but still our big isles. And of our biggest chances, to colonize America before no other. We were there 500 years before Colombus.

What England did to you wasn't much, ebbesenthomas.
