Body Type Matters Redux is designed to enhance gameplay by adding nuanced and balanced stat modifications based on a pawn's body type. Striving for a more immersive and strategic experience, this mod adjusts the capabilities and characteristics of pawns with Hulk, Fat, and Thin body types, providing distinct advantages and drawbacks for each.

Goals of the Mod
  • Balanced Gameplay: Offers a more balanced and strategic approach to pawn stats based on body types.
  • Enhanced Immersion: Provides a purpose for each body type, reflecting realistic physical capabilities and limitations.
  • High Compatibility: Designed to work seamlessly with popular mods like Combat Extended, ensuring broad usability across different RimWorld setups.


Hulk Body Type Adjustments:
- Enhanced Physical Capabilities: Moderately Reduced Stagger Duration, Increased Arrest Success Chance, Melee Damage, Construction, Mining Speed and Pain Shock Threshold.
- Reduced Agility: Slightly lower Melee Hit and Dodge Chance, Hunting Stealth, Work Speed, and Movement Speed.
- Bigger Physical Presence: Increased Body Size, Health Scale, Mass, Meat, Leather Amounts, and Max Nutrition.
- Increased Energy Expenditure: Slightly Higher Rest Fall Rate.
- Carrying Capacity: Improved Carrying Capacity.
- Comfort Temperature: Prefers Slightly Colder Temperature.
- DLC/mod-related Adjustments:: Increase in Suppression Power, Lower Certainty Loss Factor, and lowered Psychic Sensitivity.

Fat Body Type Adjustments:
- Moderate Physical Improvements: Slightly Reduced Stagger Duration, Improved Arrest Success Chance, Melee Damage, and Immunity Gain Speed.
- Reduced Mobility and Agility: Lower Melee Dodge Chance, Hunting Stealth, Construction and Mining Speed, Work Speed Global, and Movement Speed.
- Significantly Increased Body Mass: Greatly increased Body Size, Health Scale, Mass, Meat, Leather Amounts, and Max Nutrition.
- Increased Energy Expenditure: Moderately Higher Rest Fall Rate.
- Enhanced Carrying Abilities: Increased Carrying Capacity and Pain Shock Threshold.
- Temperature Tolerance: Prefers Colder Temperature.
- Better Emotional Regulation: Slightly Reduced Mental Break Threshold, making them less likely to mentally break.
- Slightly Less Visually Appealing: Pawn Beauty Slightly Lowered.
- DLC/mod-related Adjustments: Slightly increased Suppression Power, Slightly Lower Certainty Loss Factor, and decreased Psychic Sensitivity.

Thin Body Type Adjustments:
- Increased Agility and Speed: Improved Melee Hit and Dodge Chance, Hunting Stealth, Construction Speed, Work Speed Global, and Movement Speed.
- Lower Body Mass and Physical Strength: Moderately Increased Stagger Duration, Reduced Melee Damage, Immunity Gain Speed, Mining Speed, Body Size, Max Nutrition, Health Scale, Mass, Meat, and Leather Amounts.
- Reduced Energy Expenditure: Lowered Rest Fall Rate.
- Decreased Carrying Capacity: Lower Carrying Capacity and Pain Shock Threshold.
- Improved Temperature Tolerance: Prefers Slightly Warmer Temperature.
- DLC/mod-related Adjustments: Lower Suppression Power, Higher Certainty Loss Factor, and increased Psychic Sensitivity.


Note that some of the stats affect various other stats that aren't explicitly mentioned here.
For example Body Size Factor affects: Max Nutrition, Drug Tolerance, Toxic Buildup, Staggering Chance from bullets and melee, Weight, Body Heat, Caravan Visibility, Extracted Hemogen, Chance to get hit by stray bullets, and more.

It would be great if, optionally, hulks could hit their enemies so they will be thrown away a bit with this optional prerequisite:

Great mod, but I think it affects way too many stats, same with sex matters. Imo it feels like pawns become even less unique because of that.
So the way I see it, at least everything related to mood, psychic sensitivity, certainty, supersession, melee and work effectiveness shouldn't be affected. Better to leave it for traits and skills.

Yet another "should be baseline" mod. What the F kind of game puts thin body types the exact same power in melee as hulk types.
