if anyone is having problems like the unique Great Prophet, like the Harvest Deity, can be purchased by anyone else... i suggest using this mod on the link below. it addresses that issue along with several others.

Hmm...having looked into it a bit more, it seems like doing a Great Prophet replacement that affects those "chance to get a Great Prophet at X faith" events actually can't be done with XML alone like all other Great Person replacements; it requires some LUA silliness to work properly. I only know the very basics of modding myself, so I'm not sure how to help any further with that--or even how to really parse the .lua file included in the Shizuha folder--but that could be the cause of the problem. You were saying it was working for you, though?

So I'm not sure what to do about this...I also decided to try testing the other issue you mentioned of other civs being able to purchase Harvest Deities, and these were the results:

-Cache and moduserdata cleared, Aki sisters loaded and chosen as the AI civ, while I play Byzantines:
--My Great Prophets spawn as normal GPs, including from Leaning Tower of Pisa and Liberty finisher, but I'm able to purchase Harvest Deities with Faith starting in the Industrial Era; however, these Harvest Deities act in every way like normal Great Prophets. Their Holy Sites don't give +1 food, and they don't give a food burst to my civ, and they even increase the cost of Great Prophets when purchased (and vice-versa), so while it looks weird in the city purchase list, I don't think it actually causes any gameplay problems?

-Same as above, with Aki sisters loaded in, but neither civ playing as them. I play Babylon, opponent plays America:
--Same as above

So, yeah...any other ideas? ^^;

Okay, did some testing, and the results have been mixed. I'll give the setup of each test, and the result. Every game I played to test was a 2-player game on a Huge map, Chieftain difficulty, Quick speed, No Barbarians, everything else left as default; basically, the way to speed through games the quickest.

-Clearing out cache and moduserdata and disabling all mods except this one, but leaving those mods installed:
--Aki sisters still spawn a normal Great Prophet for their "chance to spawn Great Prophet at X faith" spawns, but Harvest Deity replaces Great Prophet in all other instances; buying with Faith, choosing GP with Leaning Tower of Pisa and Liberty finisher, etc. The normal Great Prophets still put down Holy Sites with +1 food, but do *not* give cities the burst of food when expended. Harvest Deities themselves give all bonuses as intended.

-Clearing out cache and moduserdata, and working from a fresh install, with only this mod:
--Same as above

Hmm, that's actually a good point, I didn't do that when testing out the mod after disabling I'll the others. I'll test this all tonight; first this mod isolated after clearing the cache and moduserdata, then if that doesn't work, I'll try a fresh install with only this mod and see if that does the trick

i see.. have you tried clearing the cache and moduserdata? also while going through the workshop, i noticed that the "unique great prophets can be bought by anyone" seems to be a common problem across the mods. idk what causes those too though but its gotta be a mod conflict.
Pixy Feb 24, 2024 @ 7:56pm
Unfortunately, the issue still occurred when all other mods were disabled, so I'm not sure if that could be it...but if the issue isn't happening for you, then I'm at a bit of a loss myself. It'd be a pain, but I could try completely removing all other mods from my Civ V installation, and see if that does the trick.

@Pixy any other mods you use? its likely a mod conflict, since that hasnt happened to me so far.

It's really cool to see more Touhou mods for Civ V, ones made so recently to boot. Really neat concepts for them, too; I've tried out the Aki sisters so far, and I'm excited to try out the others too!

...Though, I do have a problem to report. Something seems to be wrong with the Harvest Deity; in many cases, I just get a normal Great Prophet instead. I turned off a mod I was using, Race to Religion, to try and fix it, but that didn't help; and the problem persisted even when only this civ pack was active.

To be specific, the random "chance to get a Great Prophet at X faith" spawns were normal Great Prophets, as were some received in some other cases; and while these GPs had their Holy Sites correctly give food, they didn't give any food when expended. Meanwhile, the Harvest Deity showed up when buying Great People with faith, and when picking any Great Person the player wants (like in the Liberty finisher). And the Harvest Deity seemed to work as intended. Any idea what's going on?

ahhh i see... im sorry, but i cant think of any other solution.
on a side note about the missing culture, do you have the DLL - Various Mod Components installed?
