Even Bigger Map for Vanilla [1.0]

Description
*The current version is unstable, work is being done to fix the likely cause. I'm just 1 person, so time available to work on it is limited. I highly, highly advise ppl to wait for the next update before trying to play actual campaigns on this.

THIS IS A MODDING RESOURCE, NOT A COMPLETE MOD IN ITSELF
__________________________________________________________

This map covers the same part of the world as the Imperator Map, but at a larger scale allowing for much more detail. As with that map, while it's technically fully playable, it's just intended as a template like the Mundus Magnus map for modders to make use of.

The Even Bigger Map has 1277 regions (+ terra incognita), & a 96% larger area compared to my Imperator Map. For reference, it's the same width as the RIS map (slightly less in height), as this is the largest size I'm aware of that's been confirmed to work in RR.

This mod is just a campaign map (in a similar vein to the Mundus Magnus map), no new factions or units are added.

__________________________________________________________

An extensive amount of research was done to populate the map with settlements (while doing my best to keep density somewhat balanced.)

You can view a complete bibliography included in the references folder.

If anyone decides to make use of this map for their mod, and wants any input on what settlements to assign to what new factions (like Epirus, Bactria, etc) just hit me up.

FYI, mercenary pools & capture X city victory conditions haven't been added yet.

idk if this is supposed to happen or not, but there us a small path across the ocean, from taras to corcyra that land units can walk across, giving rome and greace an imaginary bridge

Map is beautiful, massive, and all I could ever ask for in terms of a perfect Rome Total War map.

That said, it crashes if you try to do anything weird, like conquer India as Rome. Unfortunate, but such is life.

actually I was wishing this "Even bigger" means it extend to South East Asia, China, Korea.....wish I can fight Han Dynasty as roman and march my armies far enough to reach Chang'An

Thanks for the mod, it's really cool, it's just a shame it crashes all the time, are there any fixes planned?

Soooo somehow I just lost and was maybe on turn 50 or 60 maybe, just was weird still had plenty of settlements, think victory conditions on the map need to be altered.

failed and now I think I got it. Got to add these to the desc_sm_resources.txt

;; mineable resources need a seperate tooltip for when they're being mined
"mining tooltip": "TMT_GOLD_MINE_TOOLTIP",

;;the model to use for this resource's mine
"mine model": "data/models_strat/resource_mine.CAS",

makes sense. If any issues. follow the same as gold and silver, but the EDB file is good.

Main mods used, Kirsi's fantastic even more map, barbarian engineering and danymok's more units, among some other mods. Have not published anything myself and I keep my modifications local.
I love people and how they share info. Not trying to be the wiseguy here, but just part of the community. Anyhow, I was really annoyed with not being to mine other metals. Less money than Gold and Silver, but still something to keep things spicy. So, I discovered the desc_sm_resources.txt and edited things like this:
Example: "iron"
by default it was "none", so I changed it to "mineable". Sample:
"subtype": "mineable",
Also, the export_descr_buildings.txt needs to modded. My choices:
mines requires factions { barbarian, carthaginian, eastern, parthia, egyptian, greek, roman, } and resource silver or resource gold or resource marble or resource lead or resource iron or resource amber or resource copper

Hey Kirsi, I am currently developing a new mod based on this mod/modding resource of your's. Do I have your permission to use your mod as a base for my mod? Credits to your work will of course be given.
