What actually happened to the grenade launchers for the FN Scar? Was this addon this addon that allowed the FN40GL or was it something else.

SCAR-L is using Pulse rifle ammo instead of SMG ammo.

I have HAMR+DP mounted on my SA-58, and when the ammo is 30+1, I can't switch the sight Other guns don't have this problem.
