Phasmophobia: Halloween Event 2023 Guide

Spooky greetings everyone, are you ready for the Halloween 2023 Event? No? Well, in this guide, I will show you where to find all recipe cards on the relevant maps and how to brew your unwholesome concoction. There's 9 hidden recipe cards need to be found across 9 maps. Happy trick and treating <3

Introduction

Welcome In!

Welcome back to another guide! For this annual Halloween event, find multiple recipe cards scattered across the maps and brew a potion in Maple Lodge Campsite.

There are 9 cards you can find throughout: Tangle, Edgefield, Rdiegview, Grafton, Willow, Bleasdale, Prison, Maple Lodge and Camp Woodwind. If you felt like you may have missed a couple (having terrible memory like me), you can check the map board to track where cards have already been found. Find all the cards and create the potion at the cauldron inside Maple Lodge before the 10th of November (two weeks), and you'll complete this event.

The tick indicates that the challenge is completed for that map.

Setting Up

This event is pretty straightforward (no Undead Santa or Easter Bunny of Caerbannog chasing us, thankfully.) I would recommend a custom difficulty with infinite sprint and friendly ghost enabled. Load up one of the maps with the Pumpkin icon on the maps of your preferred difficulty and equipment, follow the guide and correctly guess the ghost to complete that map. The event doesn't contain prerequisite or extra steps for us too follow, a simple find the card and go back to the van.

Don't forget that you can press ALT and Tab to bring up the steam overlay and this guide mid-game. This might be easier than having to pause a Youtube video on your phone or another tab.

WARNING: There is going to be a lot of spoilers on this guide. You technically don't have to collect the cards - so click here if you want to go straight to the recipe. Or Here to see the rewards this season.

Part II: Collecting the Recipe Cards

When you're playing with a group, each member of your team will need to pick up and look at the card for it to be ticked off on the board.

ㅤTanglewood Drive

The first card on the list is in Tanglewood Drive. Go into the house as you normally would, enter the kitchen and underneath the foot-rest is a pumkin. Inside the mouth is the recipe card. Once you got this, you can leave via the van.

ㅤEdgefield Road

The next card is located insidethe Boys Bedroom. Head up the stairs and follow the hallway around the corner and the second room on the right is the room you're looking for. It's the one with the blue walls. By the right hand side of the desk is a pumpkin with the next recipe card.

ㅤRidgeview Court

Onto (f)fridgeview. This one is a bit tricky and easy to miss. Head down into the basement and take a left. The pumpkin is on one of the metal shelves rather inconspicuously, you might not see it till you face the wall where you enter.

ㅤGrafton Farmhouse

This is an easy one thankfully. Head round the building to the right, or the left, heck even through the house if you're adventurous, and you should be able to spot the glow of the Pumpkin in a parch of other normal ones.

ㅤWillow Street

Another sneaky one, Do a whole loop of the house, starting with the basement, then the garage and kitchen, step outside and then notice the Pumpkin is in actuality by the Post (Letterbox) as you leave the van.

ㅤBleasedale Farmhouse

Head into the building, go up the first flight of stairs, follow the hallway till you reach the attic stairs, and head up those. Once you're up here, turn right and there is some cardboard boxes, behind those is your pumpkin with the recipe card.

ㅤPrison

Trust me this one is a pain. So enter the prison and continue down the hallway. Unlock the jail door to your left and go through it, on your immediate left/in-front is a room called "Central Control Unit." Head in there and on the back left of the room is a Pumpkin and recipe card in its mouth.

ㅤCamp Woodwind

Head through the gates, Loop the campfire twice, Crouch 3 times and then turn back to the gate, your silly dance may have spawned the Pumpkin and recipe behind the pole, by the fence on right. Or left as you enter if you don't have a sense of humour.

ㅤMaple Lodge Campsite

Easiest one to find, as you enter the camp (it's very posh now) head left towards the campfire/cauldron and around it on the log seating is the pumpkin and recipe card. You can go straight into making the cauldron if you like.

Part III: Making Your Concoction

ㅤThe Cauldron

Now you know all the ingredients, you can head back to Maple Lodge Campsite. Once there start by collecting the ominously named ingredients. I would recommend throwing them into a pile beside the cauldron till everything has been collected. I've wrote this in the way that requires the least amount of back and fourth, but you can of course do this in any order you like.

You will need to collect all the cards to get the badge and the trophy. Doing the cards will give you the badge and the cauldron will grant you the trophy once completed.

Warning: If at any point the liquid in the cauldron disappears, you have put a wrong ingredient in and will need to restart the level.

Toe of Frog & Jar of Mind

Jar of Mind. Enter the Camp Lobby and on the left, lying on a coffee table is a jar with something floating around inside. Toe of Frog. Staying in the lobby, to the right of where you found the jar, there is a green Voodo doll. Bring both these items to the cauldron and dump them for later.

Deaths Rot (x3)

Head back the way you came and into the staff area via the door ahead. As you continue you can hear some flies, on the knocked over box on the ground with rotten apples. You will need to grab 3 of these. Drop your flashlight for now and grab all 3 for the pile.

Lovers Blossom & Bowl of Grins

Follow through the staff area to enter Campsite B. From here you can make your way to the cabin. Don't enter yet, on the side by the lakeside is a skeleton couple, one of them has a flower (Lover's Blossom). Head into the cabin using the key under the matt, on the left, thr kitchen counter/worktop has a bowl of teeth. Grab both the bowl and flower and head right on the way back.

Screaming Skull

In campsite B, there is a campfire by the tents; look for a large red tent. On one of the log seats there is a skull, drop your flashlight and bring the 3 ingredients to the cauldron pile.

Packets of Beans (x3) & Bears Eyes

The last few ingredients are close I promise. You might think the potion calls for 3 cans of beans (Sack of Beans), but it actually requires Bean Bags (also called hackey sacks) that can be found in the equipment tent in front of the cauldron. While you're there, collect the two eyes in the Campsite A bathroom Sink.

Light in the Dark

The last Ingredient has been in your heart and hands this whole time: your torch. You might need to grab another from the van.

Once you're ready throw in all of the ingredients, in any order you like. Make sure you don't add too much of anything or miss an ingredient!


Once you added all the ingredients the potion will bubble and release souls into the skies! Once this is done, the whole map will be tinted red,spoooky. Leave to unlock your rewards.

Shouldn’t every map be unlocked? I just got this game and see that two maps are still locked until levels 6 and 13. Just trying to figure out if my game is bugged or if it is like that for everyone, but I swear I saw that all maps were going to be unlocked while the event is going on.

Also, apparently I'm one of those with "no sense of humor" (which made me laugh), and I was definitely about to loop the campfire and crouch three times until I read that next sentence LOL. The "fix" that worked for me when I didn't get the badge was to "Leave" the current game and start a new singleplayer session. Selecting the edit icon on the badge within the new session's Lobby screen had the badge rewards. Hope that helps some.
