Subscribe and rate above then let the mod install.
Load game and activate the mod by ticking it's box in your mod list,
NOTE!!
(This is a stand alone mod so only have this mod active, It's best only mixed with track mods.)
Allow game to restart.
Choose the highlighted "1988 Cup Car" in your garage.
Play as one of the famous drivers or paint your own fictional teams I’ve provided in the liveries section.
In custom race mode select one of the >> NASCAR.....<< AI sets.
Play.

Simply go to paint shop and select style "Paint my own livery" at the far end, then in the liveries section you'll see many fictional Nascar teams, pick one, select “paint” and colour it.
Wheel colours can also be changed in upgrades / visual / wheels.

Select >> NASCAR 88 DYNAMIC AI 1 or 2 << and 23 opponents
Play
Dynamic AI works from the combination of AI behaviour edits and grid position to power equality, so do not change any parts other than engine parts, paints and wheels as it shifts AI grid orders and ruins the dynamic AI.
To know if it's active you can press pause and see the opponent engine powers increase as you scroll down the grid list.
These AI also have 3 different racing behaviour profiles scattered between them, this all helps lessen predicable race results and favours less uniform and more overtaking racing action.

One great example race would be 5-6 laps on talladega using dynamic AI, any AI driver can win by a whisker its epic!
Use expert Ai and make yourself around a 255 engine for an exciting challenge (More or less power depending on your skills)
Pass on the outside with caution, keep your rear sides clear of opponent fronts and keep your front away from their rear sides! Try to get bumps from the faster cars behind and keep momentum for a well deserved epic win.
Using my edited “intense” damage setting is good for racing too, as it keeps the cars from getting so bent up unless it’s a trackside impact.

This is a stand alone mod that requires no addon patches and can be updated or fixed simply

All of the driver paint schemes are fully authentic to the specific season of 1988
The best V8 engine sounds are back and utilised by all Nascar engines and AI
The cars look much better with every paint scheme being updated, lots of new 1988 drivers, custom textures added like full Nascar interior, front grill, rollcage, trims and custom damage
The AI can now race properly on any tracks without spinning out on some corners
It has lots of AI sets so that you're not always facing the same opponents and in the same order.
It has no collision matrix so that cars can bunch up and enjoy close tense racing without bouncing off each other
The stock car now has a nascar style custom rear spoiler
No camera bugs and Improvements to driving views
No fragile damage edits.
This mod has the most famous macho/car celebrity names and avatars from the 80s
This mod has a stronger damage option by selecting "intense" damage, useful for endurance racing / AI testing
The AI in this mod have 3 different behaviour profiles giving different driving styles across the grids
This mod has complete menu icon transformation for the whole paint and livery section.

● Improvements to player cameras
● Each Ai driver has different engine performance for less uniform and predictable racing
● Race viewer mode enables you to watch the dynamic AI race, its very exciting as any driver could win, (tested on talledega with around 5-6 laps). If you press the right joystick button on an xbox pad the camera leaves the car and puts you into free cam mode, you can then press Y on your pad to place your car somewhere off track and just fly around in free cam to watch the AI action live as it happens, press right joystick button again to return to car and go.
Whilst in free cam you can also press X on your pad to launch your car from the free camera, the longer you hold X the faster the car shoots out!

Further advice only if you’re having issues
If for some reason you want to use this nascar racing mod for something other than nascar racing, perhaps by using It with other car/skin mods at the same time, this is a risk with any large mod that has many file structures as it may cause problems from file conflict, this mod has 700 files.
Also changing visual parts from how it comes to none stock car visual parts can crash the game, only change about the nascar engines, wheels and skins provided.
I advise just to enjoy it for 80s Nascar Racing and only mix it with track mods.
