Quick NPC Kill Cams

Description
The successor of the now-removed "RDR1-Styled Combine Takedowns" addon for Garry's Mod. Adds simple 'n quick kill cams that occasionally trigger when you waste a NPC. Effect heavily inspired from Red Dead Redemption 2.

Features:
  • Best combined with Amplified NPC Impact Feedback.

  • killcam_enable 1 - Enable NPC Killcams.

  • killcam_alwaystrigger 1 - 100% chance for a Killcam when you waste a NPC.

  • killcam_alwaysslowdown 1 - 100% chance for a slowdown effect when a Killcam triggers.

  • Every time you waste one of the allowed NPCs, there's a 25% chance for a kill cam effect to occur.

  • During a Killcam, there's another 40% chance for a short Slowdown Effect to trigger as well.

  • Stylized to resemble Red Dead Redemption kill cams with my own touch added to the mix.

  • The kill cam effect lasts for 0.7 seconds and doesn't take any control away from the player, apart from the camera angle change.

  • The player is invincible while the kill cam effect is active. sv_cheats 1 is recommended to be turned on.

  • Kill cams can only be triggered by wasting one of the following NPCs:

    - npc_combine_s
    - npc_metropolice
    - npc_zombie
    - npc_fastzombie
    - npc_poisonzombie
    - npc_zombine
    - npc_citizen
    - npc_fastzombie_torso
    - npc_zombie_torso

  • Updated to prevent the camera from spawning out of bounds when wasting NPCs in tight areas.

Limitations:
  • This addon has only been tested for Single Player. There may be unnoticed bugs during multiplayer matches.

  • There's no options to configure the addon in-game. I'm not good enough with LUA to add customizable settings. Download the addon and edit the code yourself to suit your preferences if you're not happy with the current values.
