Knock Knock (Horror Sound Mod)

or aka Alternates From The Mandela Catalogue

Now zombies make creepy sounds and knock on doors and windows.
The helicopter event has also been changed.
Inspired by the Mandella Catalogue, Silent Hill P.T., Nun Massacre, Evil Dead Rise, Cry Of Fear, Afraid Of Monsters, Darkwood, Survival Crisis Z, 28 Days Later, "Sarah" from "I Heard It Too" - all this is a mixture of what I wanted to convey here.

But for the most part was inspired by "alternates" from the analog horror called "The Mandela Catalogue"

Alternates are major antagonists in the Mandela Catalogue series. They are a mysterious, hivemind species that plan to eradicate humans by mainly driving their victims to suicide. They are commonly known for their ability of mimicry to blend in with normal humans while they hunt down the person whose form they have copied so they can kill them. Once they have found and cornered their victim, Alternates will use psychological warfare (To infect the victim with Metaphysical Awareness Disorder) convince that person to commit suicide- their methods of doing so are unclear thus far, but it’s implied that by speaking to their victims in a certain tone or about certain topics, Alternates can inflict Metaphysical Awareness Disorder on them, driving their targets insane. They have also been shown to use brute force to kill as well.

-Voice/Audio Mimicry: With this, they can mimic the voices, music, and radio audio of others as well to trick people.
-Demon Physiology: It is heavily implied that Alternates are actually demons. But it is not exactly



Mod feauture:

In the normal state, zombies try to imitate human voice, whisper, laugh, even talk, radio audio of others as well to trick people, but in the agro state, they show their true evil essence.

As for the doors - depending on the state of the door, the zombies will knock louder and harder until they break it.

WARNING: There are loud sounds in the mod that can be annoying if you have a very high zombie population.

The mod was originally made for myself, as in the case of the "Stay Away From Windows" mod, since I lacked a sense of fear in the game. so this mod will be perfect with low or very low zombie population.


INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Optional:Make a backup of your ZomboidSound.bank file located in ProjectZomboid\media\sound\banks\Desktop
(Otherwise you can validate your game to overwrite this installation)

Locate this mod in "steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3027536112\mods\Over Here Horror Sound Mod\media\sound\banks", drag and drop the ZomboidSound.bank file in the mod into your ProjectZomboid Directory usually in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\sound\banks\Desktop" with replacement


Restart Game if you have it open and Enjoy
