Grass, what is it?

You know how in HOI4, the world is divided into different provinces and each of these provinces has a terrain type? These terrains, like forests, mountains, or urban, can influence combat and movement. Imagine there's a terrain type called "Grasslands."

Now, to describe "grass":

Grass would be like the individual pixels or tiny provinces that collectively make up these "Grasslands." Each blade of grass is slender, green (though it can vary in shades or even turn yellow/brown if not properly maintained or under certain conditions), and they grow from the ground. Together, they form a carpet-like coverage over the soil, and it feels soft and springy to touch.

If an infantry division were to walk across the Grasslands, they'd feel the grass under their boots, bending beneath their weight. After the division passes, the resilient grass would bounce back up, pointing towards the sky once more.

In different seasons or due to weather effects, this grass might be wet with dew, making the ground slightly slippery, or during the peak of summer, it might be dry and more prone to catching fire.

It's also worth noting that just as the HOI4 map has variations in terrain, in the real world, there are many types of grass suited to different climates and purposes – from the ornamental types that might decorate around landmarks or cities to the hardier types that might be found on the outskirts or in rural provinces.

In summary, imagine grass as the small, vibrant provinces or units that make up the larger terrain type of Grasslands in the HOI4 world. This soft, flexible, yet resilient terrain offers a gentle and pleasant experience for those crossing it.
