Mercury Rising

Description
Investigate a mysterious distress signal and find out what happened.
About The Mod
Mercury Rising is a custom campaign mission based on a multiplayer map Mercury Falling. It's using a variety of cut and custom assets all of which have been edited to some extent to work properly. The map is fairly open and you can take different routes to reach your destination which will give you a different experience every time you play.

The entire mod has been made in roughly 5 weeks. There are some things that could have been done better but the whole idea was to make the mod as fast as I could.
Co-op
The mod works on co-op. Each player has a slightly different character model and both players appear during cutscenes.
Equipment
There are 2 new grenade types:
  • Bubble Shield - Provides cover for 10 seconds
  • Health Regeneration - Restores player's health and shields over time
Skulls
Catch and Sputnik skulls are disabled because they break some things in this mod.
Stuck on loading screen
If you get stuck on loading screen you need to install Halo CE multiplayer.

Some of the combat encounters in the mod are horrendous.

@xDanky make sure you start the game with anticheat off. Then go to campaigns > Halo CE: Anniversary > Mercury Rising

I liked it, all the new weapons I felt were good apart from the covenant vomit gun, the encounters were varied & interesting, the new lekgolo/sentinel/human enemies were all good, liked the new support grenades.

I didn't like the giant aliens I feel like they suffer from the same issue as juggernauts whenever they are put in a mod, often these sorts of enemies are non-threatening & uninteresting bullet sponges to fight, I feel like they would only work as part of chase sequences on foot, or as immortal obstacles that prevent you from further progress until you do a puzzle to blow them up or something.

Just finished. It feels like an alternate timeline version of the first game, pretty cool. The new guns are nice to use and the new enemy variety is also nice to see. The Sentinels are, finally, challenging to fight. Music is nice and atmospheric and the voice acting, while not professional level, is pretty alright. If not, quite endearing and goofy in a good way. I do hope to see more details on the story and lore in the next mission.

One of the best Custom campaign mods I ever played. Amazing work!

Author personally walked me through a bugfix that probably fixed a bunch of other things I didn't even know were wrong. 10/10 experience, the mod is awesome too. Feels like a glimpse into another realities version of Halo, Halo but down and to the left a bit. No other mod has quite the same atmosphere.
