Did you random this hero? Or are you forced to play this hero in this unfortunate position? This guide is not meant to tell you the best way to play dota like pro players chasing after the next TI (because the simple answer is don't play that hero in the role), it's meant to help you the best way possible in your possible crap pub situation.

E.g. Ancient Apparition is usually played as a support. But there may be unfortunate situations where you may have to play AA mid. It is not impossible, but difficult - the Noob guides will both have pos 5 AA and mid AA guides.

So this guide is meant to help you play the best game with the specific hero and specific position, while reducing the amount of reports you get and maybe commends :) Guides are based as much on past pro matches, and tournament matches if possible. Do note that due to the unorthodox methods of it all, sometimes the last relevant pro match in that position is years ago, simply because the position is not relevant any more (looking at you sniper supports). As much as possible I will provide a match ID with the position of the pro to back this guide up with evidence that it is possible and winnable, even if very difficult.

Pos 1 Abaddon is made possible due to:

7.33d reducing his base attack time to 120 to 95
Manta Style illusions proccing his Curse of Avernus
Universal hero so he can go stat items and have damage

Abaddon has problems against Dark Seer, Shadow Demon, Slark, Undying, Ancient Apparition, Outworld Destroyer, Monkey King, Pangolier, Elder Titan, Kunkka etc.
