1993 Saab 900 Turbo

Few vehicles are as iconic as the Saab 900. It's first generation, spanning production from 1978 to 1994, catapulted off the success of the Saab 99 and introduced many Americans to the concept of Swedish "executive compact" cars where its main competitor Volvo was primarily producing family-focused sedans and wagons. That didn't stop American families from embracing the Saab 900, however, and the car was sold under a number styles during its lifetime from a two-door convertible to a five-door liftback.

Every inch centimeter of the Saab 900 speaks to its engineering. And American consumers, especially those prone to... let's say, perfectionism, took note. Of the 900 models, the 900 Turbo was the best-of-the-best, producing 173 horsepower and accelerating from 0-60 in 9.1 seconds.

Unsurprisingly, you'll find this Saab 900 Turbo in upper and middle class areas, where they will generally well-kept and will keep you well with their safety and handling.

• Three color choices, replicating the original colors the vehicle was offered in.
  
• Animated and opening doors, windows, hood, and tailgate.
  
• Removable/repairable parts.
  
• Realistic physics and properties.
  
• Found in middle class and upper class areas and sometimes in parking lots.
  
• Includes a burned wreck version to add some new variety to major backups.

Right now the rear windows don't open. The animation is setup for them to open (it's a short hinge that pops them open) but I didn't want to delay publishing the mod in an attempt to get something working that very few people will notice. That being said, I am working on it and will post an update as soon as I have a fix in place.

My goal is to release cars that fit naturally into the game world and stylistically match the base-game's textures and art design. Additionally, I've also strive for my work to be ultra light-weight (to keep performance smooth) and to look great with other vehicle mods that share a similar ethos, such as Filibuster Rhymes' Used Cars, fhqwhgads' Motorious Zone, and improvement mods such as the Vanilla Vehicle Enhancer, among others.
