Modern Political Map - Terrain Exterminator

Description
This mod removes the various additional details added to the political map, such as the random noise (white splotches), creases along map folds, lines, etc.

It also removes the terrain map, so at any level of zoom you maintain the normal political map. Colours remain consistent at any zoom level. All terrain details such as elevation, roads, cities, buildings, etc. have been totally removed from the map so nothing will obscure your perfect simplified map.

If you have any other mods that alter the map, I highly recommend you keep this mod below them in your load order (that ensures this mod overwrites any of their changes, which is optimal since this mod only changes graphical elements).

The only mods that may not work too well with this mod are those that add unique buildings (flavor mods or conversion mods may do this). Their unique buildings may be visible on the map depending on how they implemented them. In any case, it would just be a graphical oddity but nothing game-breaking.

If you have any suggestions or comments and want to communicate them to me in the most effective way, contacting me on Discord is always the best way: https://discord.gg/n74Cdq9Rrr or contact me directly at my username "foxomexra".

It is not, since both mods modify the same files.

I don't suppose it's possible to make this work with the Victoria 2 style map is it?

The only difference is that paper map all the way uses the vanilla colour scheme and map style, while my mod changes the map style. It's just a matter of preference for which you like the look of more.

Hello what is the difference between this mode and paper map all they way?

Not likely, especially since SGO is no longer in development.

Can we get a SGO version?

The political map itself won't have an impact, it's the removal of the terrain map which may give you a noticeable improvement (especially when zooming in/out).

would you say this or the normal political map has a better impact on performance?

I believe the launcher has a shader delete button somewhere as well, but I may be mistaken.

Take a look at the third screenshot I have above to let me know how comparable it is to what you see. If the mod is working as intended, you should never see any terrain of any kind at any point - no height changes, no texture, etc. It should simply be the country's political color.

I can guarantee you at the very least that the problem is somewhere on your end, I have checked the mod files and made sure it does indeed work how it should.

Could you take a screenshot of what you see, then send it to me (there's a discord link in the page description, or I believe you could post an image link in the comments here).

A potential solution would be finding your local Victoria 3 files (on a Windows this would be Documents/Paradox Interactive/Victoria 3 but it will likely be different for you) and delete the entire "shadercache" folder. Upon game start it will regenerate your shaders and may solve the issue if the verifying game files didn't work.
