BR Class 141 Pacer

Description
The 141 Pacer was the first of British Rail's 2nd generation of DMU's and saw wide service across the north of England & in the South West. It was a low cost option as it made use of a standard British Leyland bus body, as can be seen from its interior. Its four wheel configuration and basic suspension made for a hard ride. The 141 eventually gave way to the 142 and 143 Pacers and many examples found their way onto low density branch line across the UK. Some went abroad as far as Eastern Europe and Iran.

This issue is in northern 'MetroTrain' livery and consists of a driving unit and a trailing unit, though both are powered and it can be driven from either end. The trailing unit includes a toilet. It was not uncommon for two Pacers to be coupled, making a four car set.

The interior is an optional custom model and can be left out if you encounter any lag. There are four optional destination boards plus cab and interior lights and headlights. Controls for these are displayed in the cab.

Hope you enjoy these.
