Religious Weapon Buff: "Ritualistic Killer"

Description
New on kill harvesting effect for starmetal religious weapons.

Summary
As with my previous mod, the goal of this one is to improve upon what is already available with the game's religions. This mod in particular is meant to give more relevance to the starmetal weapons of the different religions, by adding a new buff to the game. This buff is an on kill effect that gives its user 1 of the associated religions harvestable resource after killing a human.

Workshop ID: 3011004617

This mod (currently) does not alter the damage numbers on any of the weapons.

Changes made:
  • New buff 'Ritualistic Killer' added
  • 'Ritualistic Killer' buff applied all starmetal religious weapons.
  • Upon killing a human enemy, the user is given 1 of the associated religion's harvest resource.

Hopefully this mod makes the religious weapons in the game more useful for some people. As now you can more passively farm for your religion by simply using its weapon, or the player could double their total resource harvest by killing an enemy with a religious weapon AND harvesting the corpse with that religion's tool.

Special thanks to the folks over at the Conan Exiles Modding discord. You guys have been great, thanks for your expertise.

I would like to see upgraded versions of the non-starmetal weapons that include Ritualistic Killer, such as an upgraded Zathite Daggers. Also would be nice if the Zathite weapons could harvest a Zathite Bag when killing a spider or spider-like enemy.

Love this mod. And your Epic Religious Armor mod too! But it seems that when ever I have this mod enabled, I can't complete the Acolyte journey. The step of harvesting an essence from a human corpse with a religious harvesting tool never registers, despite killing and harvesting literally hundreds. Not sure why unless you changed around the vanilla harvesting tools, but I know that the Journey system is known for doing wonky things. :P If you have the time, would you mind taking a look at this one?

@dragonFire I love that idea. Unfortunately I have zero experience with creating animation/3d models, and all of my expertise lies in code/data, so really I just know how make new stuff with what already exists. However I did have a similar idea. I may do a religious rebalance mod with a couple of changes to it, one of them being allowing players to use sacrificial blood at a religious alter as a burnt offering for more favor/essence of zeal.

New idea to combo with this , what if you can copy the sorcerer sacrifice table and make one for each religion and then introduce us to bring a human to kill on their table to get three resource item from that religion. Optionally complete with unique animation kills base on the altar table.

That sounds great. You do good work.

@Mr. Tickums, was just thinking maybe what I'll do first is convert the base weapons that make sense, like lusttaker as you mentioned. Then add weapons like i mentioned before. Because I right now I agree that it makes no sense for lusttaker to have agility damage based on the armor set, and I feel like it probably makes more sense to "fix" that design choice first, and then add additional weapons. Plus lusttaker certainly LOOKS like an agility weapon imo.

Don't worry about being wordy. I like reading things. And that's a really good way of fixing the problem. That alone will create some wacky new builds using swords and spears as agility weapons or daggers as strength weapons.

@Mr. Tickums This is a good point that someone else pointed out to me already actually. And you're right! The next thing I will add to either this mod, or an upcoming mod (probably this one im thinking), is an additional starmetal weapon for each religion that uses the opposite damage type of whatever the current starmetal weapon of that religion is.

Sorry that was a wordy way of saying, you're right, and that is something i want to remedy.

Really great concept. My only possible complaint is that there are some religious weapons and armors that don't actually match up well, like the Derketo armor providing an agility buff while the Lusttaker sword is a strength weapon.

sounds like a nice way to use a thrall to help us farm a bit more ;)
