The Ultimate Achievements Guide (solves issues)

This guide will explain you with illustrations, how to get all the DayZ achievements without problems, the easy way and with details.
I myself have all the achievements and many hours (1700h+500h from PS4) on the game, I have encounter many difficulties while getting them like bugs or even with the achievement it self.
I write all by myself with my own knowledge, everything is 100% made by me, the guide will maybe not be perfectly perfect at the beginning, it worked for me, but maybe not for all, if you have followed everythings as I said in this guide and still don't have all the achievements, please leave a comment under this guide and I will try to help you as much as I can.

First Of All

First of all, you have to launch DayZ with the option "Run DayZ Client" when you click on the green "Play" button, if you dont have this option, go to "Properties" then by default you will be in the general config, in this section you'll see "Launch Options" and select "Ask at the launch" or something that look like that, then start the game as normaly with the green "Play" button and select "Run DayZ Client"
This step is recommended because there is often achievements like the one called "Firestarter" that don't work as it as to be, so with this extra recommended step you'll be able to get every single achievements.

Bodily Needs

This achievement is really fast, all you have to do is to find something to eat and someting to drink, I personnaly don't know if the fruit that you spawn with count as something to eat neither if fountains is something to drink but any way, just find a can of peaches , spaghetti and a soda or a water bottle and it will work, not that hard, just look in houses, take the drinkable in your hand and maintain left click, if its a can of food you while have to open it with something sharp like a knife, a screwdriver or something like a baseball bat or a sledgehammer, try it out.

Geared

This achievement is easy too, all you have to do is to equip a backpack, you can find backpacks all around the map, at the spawn theres many zombies and they have backpack sometimes, you'll find one easy, if the backpack is ruined you couldnt equip it so be careful, after that you'll need a melee weapons, everything work, knuckles, knife, baseball bat, you'll need a gun to complete this achievements after this, any fire arms work, shotgun, pistol, submachin, you can find guns everywhere, but if you want to be fast you have way more chances to find one in police stations, here the two types :
theres also a gun spawn in police cars, so check them for :
you can find ones in military tents, it look like this, but theres a low chance to find a gun in a military tent near the spawn :

but you still can find one in any vehicle around the map and in every house

Act Of Mercy

To get this achievement you'll just need to kill a zombie :

I'm the firestarter

This achievement is pretty f*cked up because it was for me a part of the issues I had, I had to launch my game with the option "Launch DayZ Client" as said at the beginning of the guide, thats why I told you to do that after doing anything, it will save you times.

Anyway this achievement is really easy but a little bit boring, you have to light a fire with 3 way which is ignite the fire with :
1.matches, 2. a roadflare, 3. a hand drill

first of all, you'll need to make a fire, so you'll need : a small log or a stick, one of them or even the two, you'll find that if you cut a bush, then you'll need to find a paper, a rag, a bark, even a book (not in the actual game right now) then when you have one of the 2 necessary you'll have to combine them and select "craft a "fireplace" " and your fire is made, now here how to light it for the achievement :
- 1. Matches : can be found in houses, not military buildings, neither police's one, nor hospital, just houses, hunting, civilian, houses.
- 2. RoadFlare : it usually can be found in industrial zones : harbors,construction sites,etc... look for them, they look like that :
- 3. Hand Drill : are made by you, it cant be found, you have to cut a bark of a tree with a sharp item, knife etc what ever, then you'll need a small stick which can be found by cutting a bush (split the long stick if you dont have any small stick, it will make multiple one), after all that done just combine the bark and the stick and with the mouse wheel look for the "Hand drill" recipe and maintain left click.

Now everything you have to do is ignite the fire with those 3 way.
You can make a fire in some furnaces that are present in houses, but Im not sure if it will unlock the achievement, I think yes but I will no affirme that Im sure about it.
Little tips : if you cook meats I guess you killed a animal (human too) so it mean theres bones, with those bones in your hands you will be able to craft a bone knife, it cost only 2 bones and theres often a lot of bones in animals so use them, and dont forget to wear gloves to not get bloody hands and then eating with it and get sick, you still can wash your hands with water bottle, the ocean, a soda, you can craft improvised gloves which is for me the best gloves, with 2 rags that you can get from cutting clotches

Field Cook

This achievement need you to cook a meat on a stick on a fire, every meat work I guess, so I you have killed a human just cut him with a knife, a saw, I dont know but take his meat and cook him, Im not sure if it work but I guess yes, after all, its just a meat like an other, we are animals.
To do it you have to cut a bush to get a long stick, combine something sharp (knife etc) with the long stick to sharp it and combine the sharpen stick that you just made with a meat and go make a fire like you have seen in the previous achievements, as before Im not sure if it work on a furnace or if it does need to be done on a fireplace, but I think it does so try anyway you'll see, a fire is fast to make you'll lose nothing.

to cook the meat, as I said, put it on the stick, after that look at the fire you made and maintain left click on it until the circle do one round, the achievement will be unlocked, if you let the circle do an others round it will burn :(

Baby Face

This achievement will make you wait 4 In Real Life hours to get, but just dont focus on it, you ca nspend those 4 hours in the achievements, so you'll need to wait 4 hours because its the time it take to grow a beard in order to cut it, because for this achievement you'll need to shave your beard
to shave your beard you'll need a knife, no something else, I dont think it will work with machetes or else, try it out if you find one

Natural instinct

For this achievements you'll need to kill a deer, it look like that : this is a deer, we are not talking about an other animal, this animal have woods on his head, you cant miss it, its a deer no something else, and to be 100% clear, this achievement dont consist of killing a deer but cutting it, so yes it have to be dead but I precise that if its not you that you killed it its totally ok, theres no problem, so whatever who kill the deer if you want the achievement youll need to get something sharpen to gut the deer, to gut the deer while you have the sharp item in your hands just look at it and maintain left click, it will cut it and you'll get the achievement.

little tips : eating with bloody hands will get you sick, and its the worst sickness you can have in the game, you'll not be able to run and barely see ♥♥♥♥, so dont eat with bloody hands, have gloves or wash your hands !

Marksman

This is the hardest achievement, I personnaly loved it, you just have to wait, but it ask a little bit of skill to get, to get this achievement you have to kill a player at 300m or + ,
to do that if youre not a pro, youll need a sniper rifle that can be found at heli crashes (VSD), but its REALLY hard to find, so go for huntings location :
it kinda look like that, and then look for a blaze (.308 win), tundra (.308 win), mosin (7.62x54), or a savannah (.308 win) and maybe a pioneer (5.56x45) or a SSG 82 (7.62x39) in a police stations,equip it with a scope (not the SSG 52 which already have a scope) and load it with ammo.
After that get a rangerfinder to get the distance between you and your next 300m+ kill, to find one you can look in industrial areas as said before, a ranger finder need a 9v battery which can be found in industrial area too, it look like this :
when done, look around the map for someone at 300m+, and dont forget to put your zeroing at 300m if its a 300m or more if its at more, look in the setting to know which key is it, anyway, you'll need to get your eye in the scope to get the zeroing you want while you are scoping.
My little tips for that, and this is what Ive done, its to go on top of a building where I can see 300m+ far from somewhere I can shoot and somewhere theres regulary peoples going, so in a military camp, police station, or even do some little silly camping at the spawn to get freshies, this is what I have done for myself, I had put some stuff on a road of the spawn, and I waited for someone to come at it while I was at 300m+ , I highly recommend you to do that, this is for me the easiest way to get this achievement

Pacify

This achievement is really easy, just kill a military zombie, so go in a military zone and kill one, if you dont know wheres military zone check iZurvive DayZ on Google or on the PlayStore/AppleStore, its a GPS for DayZ

You have the right...

this achievement is pretty easy when you are good but will be a little hard for noobies, you have to restraint 30 players, do that with a rope, handcuff (the best way), a wire, barbedwire or duct tape, if you have a friend to do it then its will be really fast, but if not dont worry, I have all do it by myself, just stay at the spawn and beat some freshies with a shotgun and rubber bullet, or just hit them like your father hit you when hes drunk and he already beaten your mum, anyway, dont kill them, just knock them out and restraint them with the item in your hands (handcuff, rope etc...) you need to do that 30 times, it can work with the same players

Heal the world

this achievement have to be done with a friend but as I said previously you can do it with a random guy, just restraint him ( so you can do that with the achivement "You have the right to..." too) and cut him with a knife, take his clothes off before because it can block a cut, then rags him with rags or bandages its the same, youll need to do that 30 times, so yes he will die

Lobotomy

This one easy dont worry, you'll have to headshot 20 players OR zombies in the head, you can do 17 zombies and 3 players or 20 zombies it work dont worry, so to do this you'll need a gun, to find one just go back to the achievement section called "Geared" you'll found out, when you have a gun go somewhere like the top of a car in the middle of a city, or something like that, and shot one time to get zombies come at you, then wiat until they stop moving (you have to stop moving you too) and head shot them, 20 x to get the achievement

Close and personal

to get this achievement you'll need to kill 15 survivors with any melee weapons, as before, wait at the spawn with a melee weapons, you'll find a lot of players and ungeared, you'll just have to kill them.

BIG tips : if you want to win at CQC (Close-Quarter-Combat) on DayZ, you have to learn that you can do super punch (work with every weapon : pistols, rifle, and melee etc...) to know how to do that just left click to aim and press your super punch key, I changed all my keys so I dont remember they exact key but I think its something like "F" or "Shift" anyway look at the settings, DayZ is a easy game theres not that lot of keys, but when you have found out, aim with your hands, knife, hand gun, an maintain pressing this key while aiming and punching at the same time, for guns, you just have to aim and pressing the key, or you'll shoot if you right click.
This tips, if you didnt know it before, will change forever your melee combat and make you win a lot of fight, because a super punch do way more damage and knock out player really fast even if it cost a lot of stamina it make them unable to fight back for 2.5 secondes and then the only limit that you have is your stamina, so try to have as much as stamina possible when you get into CQC fight, reminder : it work with guns too, making them not able to fight back will make you able to fight longer, so make it profitable and punch them

Its everything that I needed to say

I will upgrade this guide as much as I can in the futur, this is my first ever guide, I spent a lot of time writing this, approximately 3 hours for finding pictures, making a cool design, making the guide's presentation picture, I hope it will help people like me before that couldn't get all the achievement because of bugs or difficulties, don't forget to like the guide if you liked it and let me know if you need help for something in the comments I will be glad to help if I can, cya

@Hoggy , go on high pop official server and wait at Kamyshovo, Solnechy or walk around zeleno theres always players right there, get a shotgun with rubberslug and youll be fine for most of the case, thanks for your comment I appreciate it

Btw, would be great if anyone is willing to help with some achievements? I'm stuck with the handcuffs and the bandages achievements. Hunting for random players to successfully complete it is just taking way too much time. I can help with achievements if you need it too

@Flavour i managed to get the 30 heals with a friend yesterday using bandages. For the 300m, we were playing as a team and one of my friends was very sick (red life sign) and going down so he gave the idea of doing the achivement and yet it didnt count. I hit him with a tundra on the chest. I will ask him if he died or just went down. Appreciate all the help!

@Lunelli_98 for the 300+ meters have you killed him or have you just knocked him ? You have to kill him at more than 300m on official. Secondly for the achievements that require you to bandage someone whos bleeding (so not yourself) I remember it worked with rags but theres chances it changed over time and now its only with bandages, sorry. However it could happen that some achievements can bug sometime, for the 300m kill shot maybe you have made a mistake or maybe you knocked him and then he pressed "Escape" and then "Respawn" so maybe it didnt count as a kill, I dont really know, I recommande you to go to Solnechy on top of the moutain on the rocks at the left when you spawn and wait for freshies to spawn, maybe put loot on the road at 300m from your position and kill him, we can do it together if you want too, add me on Steam, anyway good luck and thanks
