WELL LOOK NO FURTHER! This game seeks to right these wrongs and check those boxes. Be the first to earn 3 Shine Sprites, or have all 4 Beanstar Pieces in your hand, and you win.

This is a fully-functional Tabletop Simulator adaptation of a Paper Mario-inspired roll-and-move board game. Certainly not canon, it's a chaotic (but balanced) fusion of just about every Mario RPG game you can think of, and more.

Card-driven. 350 cards, with 300+ being unique cards!
Designed with lots of replayability in mind – heavy variance from game to game means each session will have its own unique path to victory, and that the best strategies will be highly dependent on the uniquely generated environment of each playthrough.

Expect to see further optimizations to the aesthetic, as well as the scripting.

All bugged assets/loading errors should be fixed!

TIP: Upon loading the game, in case some of the card faces do not load, take ~10 cards of the deck failing to load, and put them on the board. Get out of the game and then come back into it. This fixes the issue 95% of the time. If the issue persists, take more cards out of the failed deck and try again.

All assets in the game should now be 100% loadable, error-free.

Weird...thanks for helping me locate the problem. I re-uploaded the problematic token, so hopefully now things will be functional AND not have an error.

If not checked already, please make sure to check the box that says 'Mod Threading'.
Escape>Configuration>Game>Mod Threading

If it is already on, try toggling it off and then on again, as that can also help in loading assets.

I don't really know. I haven't changed any of the mod stuff in the game as I have just started playing it. Every time I try to load this game the same problem occurs. I will say for the coin counter, it only gives the notice of an unloaded token even though it is loaded in and functional. The only problem is that trying to reload the token doesn't do anything and getting rid of the notice gets rid of the coin counter.

Sorry to hear that is happening. I will be able to troubleshoot this when I get back in a few hours. Looks like I need to scrap/rebuild the hazard tiles. Have not had anyone report a problem about the coin counter giving issues yet ☠️ will be trying to look into this issue as well.

For troubleshooting data: I assume you already messed with the "mod caching" option and have experienced this issue upon more than one loading of the game assets?

The poison tokens are not loading in properly, and neither is the bottom left (closest to toad and toadette) coin counter.

Thanks for letting me know the specific assets that are providing issues. In the latest update, I made some adjustments that should ensure these 5 objects won't be a problem anymore.

Glad you all found a solution! Going forward, I am going to be going about my process a bit differently regarding updating the Workshop. This should really cut down (hopefully completely eliminating) asset importing related problems :steamthumbsup:

Three of the red shop stands, the poison tokens, and the character stand appear to be completely broken on my end. I don't know if that happens for anyone else. The poison tokens are the only major problem, but I just thought I'd let you know. (Also my friend and I found a solution earlier, it was weird mod caching stuff)

It looks really cool! I did play with my friends but there are a lot of rules so not sure we played right or not. The game looks like it has lots of depth and strategy, want to see a play-through of it.
