TIP: Upon loading the game, in case some of the card faces do not load, take ~10 cards of the deck failing to load, and put them on the board. Get out of the game and then come back into it. This fixes the issue 95% of the time. If the issue persists, take more cards out of the failed deck and try again.
If not checked already, please make sure to check the box that says 'Mod Threading'.
Escape>Configuration>Game>Mod Threading
If it is already on, try toggling it off and then on again, as that can also help in loading assets.
For troubleshooting data: I assume you already messed with the "mod caching" option and have experienced this issue upon more than one loading of the game assets?
Glad you all found a solution! Going forward, I am going to be going about my process a bit differently regarding updating the Workshop. This should really cut down (hopefully completely eliminating) asset importing related problems
