Chess Souls

Chess with RNG and characters! If you like the idea of Chess, but don't like the amount of skill and memorization it requires, this may be a perfect fit! You'll bomb your opponent's pieces, rush your king to safety with movement cards, upgrade your pieces with trinkets, and find new crazy combinations every match!

Chess Souls is a passion project my friend and I have been working on for a little over a year. It combines Chess, and The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls. We'd love to hear your thoughts on the game! We think the trinkets and loot cards are at a good position for how we like the game's balance of randomness and strategy, but the characters haven't been tested as thoroughly. We've had around 30 or 40 matches of this game played so far, but there are still many character match ups that haven't been tested.

If demand exists, we'd love to release a printable version on itch.io for those who want to play a physical version!
