Description
The Egyptian god of agriculture and the underworld, Osiris, joins Heroes & Legends.

Osiris was born to this plane of existence by his father, Geb, the Earth, and his mother, Nut, the Sky. His siblings included Set, Nephthys, Isis, and Horus; however, the violent Set would plunge the order of the universe into chaos by shredding his own brother to scraps meant for jackals. After being reassembled by his sister turned wife, Isis, and their posthumously incarnated son, Horus, Osiris could only manifest as the undead. Thus, the youthful, undead Osiris became the overlord of the underworld, a benevolent pharaoh, he issued justice upon the deceased according to the Egyptian religion, and even later Arabic and Hellenic or Latin pantheons.

Origins: Egypt (Lower Egypt, the Nile Delta), Primordial and (perhaps) older than 3000 BC

STRUDELER'S HEROES: OSIRIS

FEATURES
  • Requires: RISE AND FALL, GATHERING STORM, and BABYLON.

    HERO: OSIRIS
  • Unique Ability - Osiris' Curse of the Mummy: Defeating a non-Barbarian unit has a chance to convert it into a Mummy and heals at the end of every turn.
  • Unique Ability - Osiris' Cycle of Life and Death: Capturing a city while Osiris is active grants +50% Food in all cities for the next 5 turns.
  • Common Ability - None: As a powerful necromancer, this unit was not given a movement ability such as Swift, Agile, or Rugged.

    UNIT: MUMMY
  • Can only be created by Osiris or a Mummy that defeats a non-Barbarian enemy unit.
  • Heals at the end of every turn.
  • Retreats to the nearest Monument when defeated, but can die due to Lifespan.

COMPATIBILITY
  • Works with STRUDELER'S CIVILIZATION VI DELUXE.
  • Strudeler's Civilizations that have a unique Temple replacement (Delhi, Nasran) are compatible, granting the appropriate 15% discount when summoning Osiris again.

    All heroes can be randomly discovered the same way, @Aheram. 100% chance by becoming suzerain of a city-state. 50% chance by discovering a natural wonder or new continent. 15% chance by grabbing a Tribal Village. 10% chance by sending an envoy (does not stack with becoming suzerain). And the Heroic Tales project will reveal a random hero.
