A curse-stricken catgirl that likes to do things her own way, she has traveled to the estate in order to find a way to dispel her curse. Making the best of her condition and utilizing her ninja training, she is able to execute a dazzling array of acrobatic moves to dodge monster attacks and freely move between battle lines to strike where her foe is weakest.

=====Overview=====
Based on Izutsumi from the Manga and Anime Dungeon Meshi, The Beastkin is a highly mobile class with good base damage with increased potential against bleeding and low health enemies. However, she is fragile with her main survival tool being somewhat unpredictable and her main damage tool is underwhelming without a proper setup.

She brings no provisions with her on expeditions.

On Crit, the Beastkin gains +33% damage vs Bleeding enemies for 3 turns.

The Beastkin is not religious and uses The House of the Yellow Hand.

Her camping skills are focused on self-benefits, with her options for team support being unpredictable and prone to backfiring.

Knifehand Strike

XXOO | OOXX
Melee attack with a medium bleed effect, deals bonus damage to humans.

Decapitate

OOXX | OOOX
Powerful melee attack that moves the Beastkin forward by 2. Deals bonus damage Vs Stunned, Bleeding, and targets below 60% hp. Ignores Prot vs Marked targets.

Cat Scratch

XOOO | XO-OX
Mult-Hit Bleed attack that debuffs accuracy and moves the Beastkin back by 1.

On The Prowl

OXXX
Grants Stealth, a damage buff, damage buffs against bleeding and below 60% hp targets, a guaranteed crit vs targets below 30% hp, a speed buff, and a small accuracy buff for the next turn.

Thrown Kunai

OOOX | XOOO
Ranged attack that debuffs the target's bleed resist and deals bonus damage against bleeding targets.

Split Kick

XXXO | OXXX
A powerful Melee attack that knocks the target and the Beastkin back by 1. Has a low chance to stun, with an applified stun and crit chance against bleeding enemies.

Cat-Like Agility

OOOO | OOOX
A flexible attack that moves forward by 1 and deals low damage, but activates Riposte and increases dodge chance for 3 turns. On Riposte, The Beastkin shuffles her own position, for better or worse. Dodge bonuses stack, but so does the riposte damage reduction.

Scratching Post

Cost: 2
Increases Bleed Chance by 30% for 4 Battles and reduces stress by 5.

Curl Up

Cost: 2
Reduce the Beastkin's stress by 30, but has a high chance to increase one companion's stress by 15.

Stray Cat

Cost: 1
A gamble to increase scouting chance by 10%, 15%, 20%, or 1%.

Pet the Cat

Cost: 3
At the cost of increasing the Beastkin's stress by 40, each ally's stress is reduced by 15, with a high chance of retribution from the Beastkin causing a weak bleed effect and a low chance of mitigating her stress gained by 10.

=====Other=====

The Beastkin is referred to as "kot" in all the game files, so apologies to anyone planning on making a King of Town mod.

I'd prefer if you ask if you want to upload this mod anywhere else or make changes to it, but I really don't mind as long as I'm credited.

Dialogue is sourced directly from the EHScans translation, but due to the amount of strings needed for afflictions, most dialogue now comes from The Cat from Red Dwarf, so apologies if she doesn't seem in character.

For balance reasons, she is allowed to drink alcohol and have sex. This is highly out of character, so you shouldn't do it, but I'm not a cop or nothing so it looks like you'll get away with it.

Tercmc is moving away from from DD1 modding due to certain circumstances, which may affect when the next Meshi mod is, but I wasn't planning on focusing hard on them until we get Season 2 news anyway.

The 3.0 Rework is now Live! Please keep in mind that some progression her skills and collected trinkets will reset due to changed internal names. I'll have to take back my previous statement some what because I somehow forgot that there already was a Legacy version up, so I'll just update that version instead. When the time comes, make sure you use that version if you want to make sure you keep progress on your current save files since many internal ids will be changing. Rework coming very soon, at least before the year ends. Falin mod is back in never ever status, invest in Kabru coin instead.

I hope it's a great rework - I never played with mods before, but feel like it would add a ton more excitement and strategy to this already fantastic game.

I'd like to announce that a rework is currently in progress. Currently, Izutsumi's gameplay is far too similar to the Grave Robber's and could be more exciting and unique then it is now. Once the rework is complete, this version will be converted to a legacy version and the rework will be uploaded separately. If you have any suggestions for the rework, leave a comment or contact me directly through Steam or Discord. The rework is not expected to be finished anytime soon, as I am currently working on two separate enemy mods and debating if I should contract a Mayjack skin for the Half-foot or try to make it myself. And as always, Falin mod never I actually think I might have a good design doc this time, at least for the hero version.

@Lé'O-Fraise Yeah, one of the first discussions I had with Terk was how best to handle that. Keep in mind that this mod was made before the Manga was even finished, so it was still vague how exactly her fur worked and if it would work visually with DDs art style. Eventually, we settled on making it look more skin-like since the added details needed to make it look like fur wouldn't translate well to a sprite and it matched the original art, even if it didn't necessarily match what the art was meant to represent.

Really sad about the fact, the appearance of Izutsumi isn't approximate with how she look in the anime/manga, because where there is human part on the DD skin, it's supposed to be white fur instead. Otherwise, the rest look good.

@SnoopDuck I genuinely think most your dungeon meshi heroes are fairly kept in check by their unique downsides, but could still use some work. The best way to figure out balancing them would be to survey multiple people, but if you wanna hear my thoughts on the rest of the characters, let me know.

As said before the on the prowl/decapitate combo just has way too many really strong damage modifiers and that kind of overshadows a lot of her other skills. It should probably just be 1 damage modifier on each skill (though I do think one being for mark and one being for bleed would make it so you need to put a little bit more effort in to use them). Obviously base DD1 Grave robber has the same problem with lunge/shadow fade, but beastkin already does a bit to overcome that with her two wild card skills and I think she could overcome that even more just by lowering her base damage and then making knifehand/kunai throw do that base damage.
