Description
Activates the RunSpeedModifier for all worn and equipped items.
Applies the vanilla formula.


Details
  • The RunSpeedModifier is taken into account in a weird way (see below: RunSpeedModifier).
  • In Vanilla only bags RunSpeedModifier is taken into account (fully when the bag is full).
  • Using this mod may lead to the player to not understand why they stop running (see below: Lemmy's explanation).
  • Can be added / removed from any save.
  • Works in solo and multiplayer.
  • Makes the game harder in vanilla (some clothes reduce speed, only the sneakers improve it).


RunSpeedModifier
  • Aside from activating it, I nearly did not change how it is computed.
  • This is not a raw gain, nor a percentage, nor a point.
  • I do not understand what it exactly is but I can bore you with math details if you wanna know more.
  • All RunSpeedModifiers differences to 1.0 are summed. (e.g. 0.9 and 0.8 => 0.7)
  • Having no shoes removes 0.15 from the result.
  • The sum of all RunSpeedModifiers differences to 1.0 is halved and multiplies a "walk speed parameter".
  • Therefore RunSpeedModifiers have an influence on walking/aiming. But it is small, nearly unnoticeable.
  • The sum of all RunSpeedModifiers multiplies a "run/sprint speed parameter" (that is built upon the 'walk speed parameter').
  • Therefore RunSpeedModifiers have an influence on running and sprinting. And it is more noticeable.

This was removed somewhat last minute pretty recently, due to some significant issues with different combinations of clothing or shoes stopping the character from running with it being difficult for the player to understand why. You're correct the tooltip text should be removed in the meantime, but its fully intended to be reintroduced so we figured keeping in the habit of considering these stats still makes sense. Please remember this game as an absolute ton of features, tooltips and modifiers all over the place, and its easy for non-functional or removed modifiers still to be erroneously referenced throughout the game, thanks for pointing it out.

Nice, bee ntrying to get run speed modifier to work to make gear and equipment more diverse and the choice of different things be more interesting

players with 5+ Nible report me that they move very slowly. I make some test and that's was true. it return normal taking of the mod. Maybe some conflict with others mod

I use -10% player walking speed, and -14% player running speed
