How to improve aim in CS:GO

This guide will show you how to better youre aim in CSGO

Crosshair

you're crosshair might not be the best for you. You should try other crosshairs that CS:GO has to offer. To change you're crosshair go to setting > Game > Cross hair change it to how you like it.

You should test out you're crosshair by using community maps such as

For some cross hairs you cannot change the color but to fix this go to settings > Game > enable developer console.

Then go to setting > Keyboard/mouse > UI keys > toggle developer console. I recommend setting it to (`).

then type in cl_crosshaircolor (number)

cl_crosshaircolor 0 is for red

cl_crosshaircolor 1 is for green

cl_crosshaircolor 2 is for yellow

cl_crosshaircolor 3 is for dark blue

cl_crosshaircolor 4 is for light blue

crouching and standing still

to aim better in CS:GO you must stay still or crouch while staying still.

Standing still grants you accurate shots but can still be inconsistent BUT crouching gives you better accuracy.

you should not spray at long ranges take time in between you're shots it will make you more likely to hit you're shot.

while at close ranges try to crouch It will take practice so I recommend using this workshop map to practice.

Counter strafe

Counter strafe needs some practice and hard work but once you get the hang of it you will do be so much better in CS:GO.

So lets say you are moving in a direction using you're ( D key) and if you let go of you're (D key) you will stay inaccurate for some time.

Instead you must you're press you're ( D key) and the opposite key witch is you're ( A key ).

the best place to practice it is on office or dust or inferno or vertigo or mirage.

i recommend dust due it being the easiest to queue up for.


This will take a lot of practice and time and you will be a way better at aiming.
