@Hecleas Could you release a light version of this mod without Magic/Hero/Movement speed modification, it could be just perfect sir :coffee:

@Hecleas After try this mod in big battle, i find damage melee/ranged is pretty well equilibrate (in compraison to extra longer battle).
But :
- Magic spell heat hard arty/ranged unit, maybe too much magic wind
- Heroes are very week, even lvl 10+ they taken a lot of damage very quickly, some unit unit as dragon also
- The modification of speed on cavalry is frustrating, don't have the feeling anymore to control a speedy unit that can flank

I super duper agree with the premise, battles are always over so fast you can't enjoy it.
But I'm worrying if all these global changes will need a lot of patches or is it rather done in a way that doesn't affect tthe rest of the mods? like instead of edititing individual values it is done via script via modificators or something?

actually i think penalties are okay, it's balanced in a way. thought about the 50% hp but then remembered that 50% hp while still having like 110 armor for early game is pretty big so almost nothing can really kill you and as game goes on you can increase armor through equipment and skills. the penalties are okay in that your lord starts out essentially as a tier 1 unit, then by late game becomes equivalent to tier 4 or 5 but not that they can take on 2-3 units simultaneously of equal tier and tank

May I ask when you plan on releasing the updated version of this mod you are working on? Just curious cause you happen to be on so many projects with matched combat, sfo, etc.. Really happy for ya and seriously congratulations on being such an influential modder on so many different aspects of the game.

did you teach AI flank better on this mod ? because vanilla battle AI is terible on that , ewen then when AI have lots of cavaly .
