I quite liked abusing it to have the Papacy lead by my faith so that: I've got a Kingdom level Head of Faith; and my HoF builds men-at-arms (another bug means only the Papacy builds them 🤦♂️)
Also it seems like Converso still has the bug. If I recreate the Papacy as a Converso follower then I get a Converso Head of Faith as expected. If I try to recreate it as an Insular / Mozarabic follower, then the button is greyed out with the error `Mozarabism has a Doctrine with maintains_head_of_faith_on_creation_name`
If I attempt to make my own religion off Insular / Mozarabic when Catholicism doesn't have a Head of Faith, then I get the error `Rite is not allowed`, and it's not selectable from the Head of Faith list
If I attempt to make my own religion off Converso instead, then it defaults to Spiritual and I can't select Rite
Where it works: There is a new doctrine option for Head of Faith that is identical to the Rite tenet. This includes the Rite effects such as +5 opinion between all members of faith and -25% cost reduction to creating a new faith.
Where it doesn't: Existing saves. This mod overwrites the *real* Rite tenet at start of game. So for existing saves with Mozarabism and Insularism, you won't be able to de-select it when creating a new faith.
There are also a visual bug, of sorts: the +5 opinion modifier will display as "doctrine_rite_name" in a character's opinion modifiers list. Pretty minor thing, but you'll see it very often if that bothers you.
Just let the game run for a little bit in the save, it just needs to work its magic.
I have a whole lot of mods installed, so maybe there's some weird interaction going on. I guess we'll see if anyone else experiences the same thing.
