1. Cheating & supporting cheaters
An easy question (or is it?):

Correct Answer: C: Cheating is wrong and never ok

When joining any of our Mann Up Servers, you are not allowed to have the opinion on cheating even being the slightest bit okay in MvM. Admitting otherwise can instantly result in your removal from the server by superiors. Occasionally, high tours and Mann Up supervisors will ask teammates questions like these to find potential cheater supporters who think normalising cheating is the way to go. If you get the answer wrong, you may in most cases be classified as equally guilty and have your games ruined and/or getting kicked for perfectly valid reasons.

Superiors are not required to follow this rule
That is correct what you just read. Superiors are Gods of MvM and they own all Mann Up servers. Therefore they are not entitled to follow this rule themselves. They are allowed to play with cheaters while simultaneously kicking those who do it themselves. As an inferior, you do not have the right to question the hypocrisy and decision of superiors. If superiors feel like it, they can grind free tours from cheaters.

The right to question or negotiate the action of superiors is reserved only for other superiors.
2. Idle medic & the opinion on meta
As an inferior, you are not allowed to do one or more of the following:

A. Insta-pick idle medic:
The right to play medic in MvM is reserved for superiors and high tour Gods. Gods of Mann Up don't need a worthless medic with idle upgrades wasting a slot on their team if idle medics think healing/reviving all day is how to win in a DPS gamemode about shooting bots.

B. Saying we need a medic:
Inferiors and those below of supervisors are not allowed to question the meta of a superior's game, such example is saying we need a medic. Questioning and challenging superiors for enforcing no medic in MvM will be treated as backchatting authority; resulting in an immediate removal from the server.

C. Saying we don't need a sniper:
Superiors reserve their rights to play whatever class they want. Questioning what class they pick such as sniper or giving an opinion about sniper (e.g. "sniper is useless in mvm") will instantly result in being booted off the server. MvM Gods, supervisors and server maintainers know all classes are viable in MvM and are not required to follow the meta to win the game.

D. Questioning the meta:
Any attempts to brainlessly question, enforce or encourage meta strategies and gameplay towards anyone including their fellow inferiors will send you a one-way trip back to the main menu without hesitation. High tours, experienced players and server supervisors are not entitled to follow the meta at anytime, and can do as they please.

Morale of the story
Learn to play the game instead of acting like a smartass (e.g. saying "we need a demo" on a wave without uber medics). Inferiors that try to use their infinite lack of knowledge to tell others what to do = Last wave kick.

3. Pyro & the opinion of gas passer

Although picking pyro will instantly result in being booted out of the game, high tours still have their ways to identify randoms using bad loadouts and bad upgrades such as the trash passer. You are not allowed to pick pyro in any of our Mann Up servers. The right to play pyro (with or without gas) is reserved only for superiors.

Airblast force is a powerful griefing tool reserved for toxic high tours, server superiors and MvM gatekeepers to upgrade when holding servers hostage.

Defending pyros such as pressing F2 on votes to kick them, arguing with authority, or otherwise trying to justify with those of higher power about the 'advantages' of playing pyro / using trash passer will also result in being kicked. Any attempts to call out on hypocrisy (e.g. scottish resistance able to kill multiple giants or sniper also being overpowered) are invalid as both require skill compared to trash passer. At the same time, superiors are Gods of MvM and are allowed to be as hypocritical as possible.

When you join any of our Mann Up servers, you are to not ever pick pyro without consent from high tour superiors. Attempting to express your honest opinion on pyro in MvM to a superior will be classified as arguing / questioning their authority. Therefore resulting in an immediate removal from server. If a pyro is in the game, you are to oblige to the every orders said by superiors without ever questioning their powers.
4. Gratitude to the MvM Gods
All low tours & inferiors have the option to show a form of gratitude towards their superiors who carried them for free. Examples of being thankful for the free carry service are as followed:
  • Saying thank you to the high tour Gods at the end of every wave.
  • Donating free items (e.g. ref) to carriers as a way to show appreciation for the carry service.
  • Leaving a comment on their profiles how they're the best player that saved your game.
Superiors and gatekeepers of Mann Up reserve their rights to kick anyone for any reason. To avoid being kicked, you should be thanking the MvM Gods every wave for carrying deadweight (i.e. low tours and inferiors). In most cases, this alone will allow the carriers and high tour Gods to be merciful and allow you to finish the mission; even if you did too many mistakes. Otherwise, getting carried and showing no form of gratitude for the free carry can warrant a last wave kick as they decided you are not worth the loot.

Opinion on the free carry:
You are not allowed to speak out against superiors. Being oblivious to notice you got carried in most situations can result in being kicked out on last wave for disrespecting authority. Disagreeing with authority like denying you got carried or expressing opposing opinions to high tours can too, get you kicked on last wave for committing a crime of opinion in MvM and violations of the Mann Up Participation Contract.
5. Rejoining a server after kick
The right to re-join the server you got kicked from is at the discretion of high tours. High tours are superiors, and reserve their every right to decide the remaining outcome of the server. Such examples are not limited to:

A. Last Wave Kicking:
Superiors, toxic high tours and their fellow gatekeepers decide the fate of anyone who joins their server. If you rejoin a server without approval from superiors, you will be kicked again on last wave to make room for a better asset to the team, e.g. fellow high tours who want free missions, alts, spot fillers, etc. High tours are Gods of MvM, that can complete missions with less than 6 teammates. So whether you play or idle, just to sulk about your first kick would make no difference to the Gods of Mann Up.

B. Server Lockdown:
Gatekeepers of Mann Up may put their entire servers on lockdown under any circumstances, for any reason. Most common reasons can be:
  • Pressing F2 on votes called by superiors.
  • Not saying thank you to the MvM Gods for their free carry service.
  • Arguing, or otherwise questioning the authority of those in power.
  • One or more violations of the Mann Up Participation Contract.
  • Someone recently kicked joined back, and will be kicked again to open up a slot for an alt/spot filler/high tour.
You have a chance to get on the the high tours' good sides by obeying to their every commands, before it is too late. Failing to follow orders from superiors can result in; multiple stalling and wave throwing until superiors get what they want, idling, refusing to play, and airblasting bomb carriers to hatch just for fun.

C. Server Hostage:
Server superiors and gatekeepers of the gamemode reserve the rights to single-handedly hold any game hostage for whatever reasons they desire. This can include; pyro-locking robots until all TOS violators who committed an offense leave, griefing, re-joining back after kick to continue sabotaging, calling for backup (or alts) to assist in griefing, and so on. Your right to call out on high tour hypocrisy is prohibited, as superiors are not entitled to follow their own rules and Mann Up TOS.

Decisions made by superiors are final, and if you have sealed your fate; the option to be dismissed from their toxicity is not negotiable. Your only options from this point on are to leave their server.

Summary
  • Understand that MvM is a co-op gamemode.
  • Toxic high tours, superiors and general server maintainers are Gods of MvM, they have more knowledge and experience than you whether you like it or not. Disagree with this and you will be kicked for not having a correct opinion.
  • Leave your ego at the main menu.
  • This is Team Fortress 2, not Carry Fortress 2.
EXTRA: MvM Gatekeepers are superiors
MvM Gatekeepers and patrollers of Mann Up as said many times in this guide are superiors. When they feel like it, they can get whatever they want at anytime.

(All screenshots displayed below have been partially blurred to prevent naming & shaming.)

Example 1 - Unauthorised rejoining
Disconnecting from any of our servers is classified as a kick. And if you choose to leave the server, you are no longer allowed to join back later, hoping to get free loot.

Attempting to join back the server you got kicked from without permission from superiors will result in being instantly replaced by a better asset to the team as shown below:

(Random last wave kicked so a better player can steal their mission - screenshot taken from a fellow gatekeeper)

(Random last wave kicked so an alt can take the free game instead)

(Random last wave kicked to make space for a spot filler)

Example 2 - Last wave kicks
In this example, you'll see server superiors practicing exactly what they are good at: Last wave kicking randoms who are not worth the loot. So they get kicked to make room for a more valuable asset to the team.

(Non-F4s: They wasted superiors' time not pressing F4, so in return superiors waste theirs by delivering last wave kicks)

Example 3 - Easy clear
Team violated the Mann Up TOS. So superiors choose to idle / not play.

(A server supervisor was kicked, but a new griefer joins)

(They try to 5-mann the mission, but give up and abandon lobby. So more spot takers join in to steal the mission and continue where they left off)

(In the absolute worst case scenario, a group of superiors join in to secure themselves the kick power and seize the remaining part of the mission)

Example 4 - Easy loot/missions
Just more screenshots showing superiors purposely using randoms up to the last wave, just to kick them at the end and make space for better assets to the team.

(Randoms pressed F2 on a superior's vote: Kicked and replaced for pressing the wrong key)

(Non-F4: They waste a superior's time not pressing F4, so superior wastes theirs in return by delivering a kick on last wave)

(2 Inferiors kicked on last wave to make room for better assets to the team)

POV: If you get kicked for the first time, you can consider yourself lucky. First kick is a warning - But join back and superiors will just 5-mann the mission, then kick you again on last wave so someone else can take the free loot. Superior's decisions are final and non-negotiable.

Special thanks to TF2 Content Creator, WeezyTF2 and his video (46:10-47:20) for the inspiration in creating this Guide along with the idea of superiors kicking and griefing Mann Up servers of those who commit an MvM crime of opinion.

Feedback is always appreciated. Remember; superiors, toxic high tours, gatekeepers of MvM and sever maintainers are Gods of Mann Up who rule this gamemode. Don't disagree with them, always obey to them at all costs, leave your ego at the main menu and never, ever, question their authority at any time.

While you're still here, why not also share this guide on Reddit.

Thank you and have a nice day.
