The Despot's 3D Shields Package

INTRODUCTION

After many, many hours of frustration, reverse-engineering the game files and an exceptionally strong case of bad luck, I can finally present you "The Despot's 3D Shields Package". This mod attempts to overhaul and diversify the appearance and shape of most of the 3d shields you can find on the map. It's mostly a cosmetic mod, but I tried to make the textures more visible.

CONTENTS

- Completely redone 3D map shields for Catholic Christianity and its junior religions (westerngfx).
- Completely redone 3D map shields for Muslims (muslimgfx).
- Completely redone 3D map shields for Hindus/Jains (hindugfx, jaingfx).
- New 3D map shields for Orthodox Christianity and its junior religions (orthodoxgfx).
- New 3D map shields for Buddhists (buddhistgfx).
- Completely redone 3D map shield for the Holy Roman Empire.
- New 3D map shield for the Papacy.
- New 3D map shield for the Byzantine Empire.
- New 3D map shields for the Italian merchant republics of Venice, Pisa, Genoa and Amalfi (kingdoms only).

WARNINGS

THE JORODOX TOOL IS DEAD; as long as there's no replacement for the it, I can't update the mod.

Update: the tool is ALIVE, but due to real-life I am not sure when the next update will come.

This mod is NOT Ironman compatible.

This mod can can be taxing on low-end PCs.

The very first time you load the mod, the game will run slowly. Please restart the game, and things should improve significantly.

Weird glitches may occur.

This mod should be compatible with most mods. It's only partially compatible with HIP: orthodox shields won't show up.
