At the onset of the last Great War, the struggling farm equipment company, Gallant, made a bid to contract production of a scout motorcycle for the military. Though it was never accepted, the gambit paid off as the public expressed great interest in their new model of motorcycle: the Cavalier. Though not as powerful as other competitors on the market, the Cavalier offered affordability, reliability, and ease of maintenance that struck a chord with consumers. Over half a century later, the bike still reigns as the company's most popular model with the design being mostly unchanged. To this day, the Cavalier remains a fighter and a charmer on the road.
