AGOT: The Red Crab - House Celtigar Immersion Mod

UPDATE: I apologize to everyone for over a year of silence - I'm much better at playing than modding. But it's done; the mod is updated to the latest version of AGOT. I fixed bugs, rebalanced all bonuses, made some changed to make it compatible with what AGOT adds to this titles. I hope you enjoy it - let the Red Crab triumph once more!

But since then, the student has far surpassed the master a hundredfold, and I can't imagine playing AGOT without AGOT: Minor House Flavour. Some elements will overlap, but nothing that would significantly disrupt the gameplay



The Red Crab - House Celtigar Immersion Mod is a mod that allows you to go deeper into the amazing world of Song of ice and fire and experience it from the perspective of the ancient House Celtigar.


Everyone knows about House Targaryen, and many are familiar with House Velaryon. However, few realize that another Valyrian house arrived in Westeros and is now somewhat forgotten: the noble House Celtigar. For centuries, they have resided in their ancestral seat on Claw Isle, guarding Blackwater Bay and greedily eyeing Crackclaw Point, a peninsula they have never fully subjugated despite numerous attempts. They have accompanied the dragon lords from the very beginning, contributing to the conquest of Westeros and serving for centuries as advisors and loyal vassals. They are renowned for their wealth, including their possessions such as the famous "Pincer" - valyrian steel axe and the legendary horn that can summon krakens and remembers the times of Valyria. Lord Adrian Celtigar, also known as Red Crab, is an ambitious man, who wants to revive his dynasty and lift it from obscurity and stagnation. Help House Celtigar achieve the glory they deserve and stand alongside the greatest houses of Westeros!



Lead House Celtigar to glory and wealth using unique features:

1. Become the Duke of The Claw Isle - This new title reflects your status as an important lord. If you prove that you deserve it, you can create it peacefully by convincing your liege (NOW INCLUDED IN VANILLA)

2. Conquer Crackclaw Point and create Kingdom of The Claw - For centuries, House Celtigar has attempted to conquer this peninsula, but all their attempts have ended in failure. Break the bad luck and lead your dynasty into a new era as the ruler of the newly formed kingdom

3. Use two unique Men-at-Arms units - Red Shells and Crab's Pincers are respectively heavy infantry and cavalry knights. Clad in armor decorated with the image of a crabs, they constitute the personal army of House Celtigar. Although they are not as aggressive as warriors from other lands, their excellent armor and adaptation to fighting in the hostile terrain of Crackclaw Point make them formidable opponents.

4. Three special buildings - Celtigar Vault is a famous crypt that houses ancient family treasures. City of Brackyore is a small port town with many of its residents still having traces of Valyrian blood. Both places are not as well-known and significant as the seats of the most important dynasties - yet. Expand them and make your wealth and prestige outshine even Tywin Lannister himself! In new update you can also benefit from famous Lighthouse of Gryphonrock, which guards Blackwater Bay for hundreds of years

5. Adopt customs of ancient Valyria - For hundreds of years living in Westeros, we have lost many of ancients traditions. We even no longer speak valyrian language, and many say that we are closer to the cultures of continent than to the old Valyria. However, we know that we are not inferior to houses like Targaryen or Velaryon. We will prove that Celtigars are worthy heirs of valyrian legacy! However, by doing so, we may distance ourselves from the people we rule, losing forever a part of the culture developed over hundreds of years of living next to Blackwater Bay.

6. Six unique dynasty legacies - Five for characters of Westerosi Valyrian culture and one unique to House Celtigar. They focus on prestige, developing trade through bonuses to development and income, seafaring, as well as some secrets of metallurgy, still remembered from ancient Valyria.

As with any mod, balance is a purely subjective matter. Effects may feel really powerful, but so are challenges before you. Your culture only has 4 counties on the entire map, you start as a forgotten, small and unimportant house without much strength or allies. However, if you endure and manage to overcome that, you will be well rewarded.
