Sleepy's Weapons - Core

Description

Sleepy's Weapons - Core
Modding is easier together, this mod is licensed under CC0 1.0 UNIVERSAL[creativecommons.org].

This core mod is the sole source of the sounds and base definitions used by my other weapon mods. Without it, those weapon mods would be bloated by extra definitions of the same sounds and would need duplicate base definitions too. It'd just result in a slower loading time and a worse experience all round.

I love to add content to this game that I feel is missing or that I'd like expanded. I figure that if I enjoy what I've added, others may too so I to post my mods to the workshop. Balance is critical to me as I am a vanilla player and I'll try to ensure nothing is unbalanced but ultimately I have a goal in mind for the content I am adding so what I consider balanced may not always be what you'd consider balanced. Hopefully you enjoy the mod none the less.

You can find the stats of all weapons added by all my 'Sleepy's Weapons' mods here:

What Does This Mod Add?
This mod doesn't add anything by itself, it simply sets up core infrastructure such as the research tab, base weapon definitions, adds sound files and other small pieces for my other weapons mods.
This prevents those mods all having to add the same stuff, causing them to override each other, which can slow the game down on loading it up and cause errors in the log.

On Going Games:
- Safe to add to an ongoing game
- It will cause issues if removed from an existing save (consider starting a new game to see if you are happy with the content). You can try destroying all the content added but I'd be worried existing addictions might cause problems with world pawns.

Hi @CTH2004, i made all the textures for all my mods myself so no worries there and all the sounds have been edited by me or build by me but they originate from some old PC games or public domain sources. I doubt you'll have any problems using them though.

That it is! (Easier for modding). And no problem on the reply, I still have no idea what I would use this code for, just wanted to know for future reference :)

And I’ll probally use it as a optional dependency, and at most fork some sections from it, mentioning you as a contributer

Also, are those sounds and texture copyrighted?

If not, an idea is for me to put the sounds I use into my core (meaning only a fraction of them), and use load folders to disable access to them if your core’s there!

Hi CTH, oh damn sorry mate i didnt even see your message. Absolutely, you may also fork or just take anything you need from this mod too. Whatever works for you works for me, modding is always easier together.

May my mod use this as an (optional) compat?
