Oblivion Galaxy is a game about the economics of trying to escape a dying galaxy, and the hard choices that must be made in desperate situations. In a technologically advanced future, you lead a powerful Faction of the Milky Way, and your scientists have discovered that the apocalypse approaches as dark vortices of entropic energy bear down on known space. You must develop and construct a means to escape the Galaxy before it is too late!

Oblivion Galaxy is a middle-weight eurogame focused on constructing facilities, managing resources and time, while the game board is consumed from the outside in. Players must quickly build up an engine to start saving their population, choosing between faster or higher-scoring methods, and must balance these two incentives throughout the game. The core game loop is very simple, with each player either placing workers on the board to gain resources, or recalling them to their board. But every time they recall their workers, time moves on and more of the available board space is consumed by the Doom!
