JNRDE15

Description
Japanese National Railways type Russell car.
A DE10 type diesel locomotive with Russell heads on both ends.

Since it has attributes as a passenger train, you can enjoy running it between stations.
This will make it easier to run where you specified.
Depending on the direction of travel, the wings of the front and rear Russell cars will open or close, so you can drive back and forth.
This asset is for enjoying the snow removal scene and is not intended for passenger transportation.
Therefore, we have a capacity of 1. Never use it for passenger transport.
The speed is about 40km/h, so be careful not to get in the way of other trains.
Also, when operating with the wings spread out, it will overlap with the surrounding objects, so be careful when handling it.
Snow smoke uses VehicleSmoke, so if you make it too dark, it will turn black and look like soot.
I make it fairly thin.

Implemented running sound. For the time being, I made it so that the engine sound of the actual DE10.
I actually went to the railway line and recorded it, and implemented it with poor sound processing.
I also made the acceleration and deceleration looser. (April 1, 2023)

A prop version is also included.
Locomotive and three Russell heads.
You can easily pick it up by typing "DE15" in a search mod such as "Find It".
Russell head expresses operation, forwarding, detention state.

About JNR DE15 (brief overview)

Introduced in 1967.
Operating steam locomotives with Russell cars required a lot of manpower and cost.
Developed a diesel engine type snowplow in order to reduce the number of personnel and reduce costs.
This format was developed after several formats.

Initially, it was equipped with a Russell head on one side only. (single-headed)
Since it was inconvenient to move in the opposite direction without changing direction, it became possible to make one equipped with a Russell head in the opposite direction. (double-headed)
The early single-headed model was refurbished into a double-headed model.
Although it was only for double-track, it was also developed for single-track (of course double-headed).

This asset is a double-headed type for double tracks.
The times have progressed from JNR to JR, and this format has become obsolete.
New high-performance snowplows were developed and replaced, and gradually disappeared.
Only a few are working at the moment. (April 2023)
