The LETTERS Room

Description
Welcome to The LETTERS Room!

Put letters into slots to create new items, change the environment around you, and access other areas as you work towards your escape. The letter puzzles come in many forms, requiring alternate solutions and reusing old puzzle pieces.
Not all of the words you can use will help with progression, but may result in something interesting!

* NOTE * This room was designed for one player, with no testing for more than one. It may be possible with more players but some sections are player-triggered, and will possibly cause puzzles to break.

There is a walkthrough in-game using the new feature. The steps have an issue with cutting off longer sentences so let me know if the hints need fixing or changing.
The walkthrough includes extras - words that have a response, but don't help with progression - at the end.

---

This is my second release, and I'm very happy with the results.
This was started last November and almost finished after a couple of weeks, but it was too short. After a break and some work on other new rooms, I returned to this, improving length and variety.
Development took significantly more time than my first room, as I wanted a longer level, and my first released room had a time constraint (due for Hallowe'en.)

There is a lot of complexity with the slot system. It's possible to slot two letters in the same place if you are quick, but there is a failsafe to prevent letters being lost if this happens. If I make a sequel, this issue will hopefully be avoided with a better method.

Feedback is always welcome and appreciated.

Hey, while I was playing this with my friends, we were unable to collect the key from the cupboard. The one with the small e.

the useless painting you could turn almost drove me insane

Two problems we encountered. One, the hint system worked only once. Two, we found ourselves trapped outside the TV room because we had previously put the 'P' on the wall inside it and the exited through the "got stuck?" button.

great idea for a room but it's HARD. i also managed to softlock myself right at the end so couldn't fully finish it which was a shame. i got to the final chest, unlocked it, but had to go back to get the N — clicked the button which said "got stuck?" where the window used to be so i was in the room where the N was, however i was now completely locked out of getting the D back to open up the window again

I mostly love the concept. But, solving some of it is cumbersome, because even when I know what is needed, I have to backtrack to get what I need. Even at the END.

WOW. What an amazing room. So well designed and intuitive. DIFFICULT but fun:steamhappy:

Great map, super creative and unique, not extremely hard but still challenging! The only thing I could not get was the "2" at the end. I finally saw it in a YouTube walkthrough...

What was the point of the lamp and the picture on the wall?

If you are where I think you are, the key in there is actually inside the cupboard below the four letter slots. The TV hint isn't suggesting the word "DOOR", but the same word you used to enter the TV room .
The in-game walkthrough should help, but let me know if it isn't clear.

Hi, I'm loving the room. But I either hit a glitch, or I'm very dumb. I've solved everything to get all the keys, and have gotten the code from the tv room. I leave there and put "DOOR" on the code stand. The door pops up, but there's no code lock and the key I got from the top of the 3 door cabinet doesn't work. I can see there's a key inside the small room, but can't figure out how to open that door. Help?
