TUS Mk.VM "Budanov"

-The battle of Bakhmut showed the Commander-in-Chief that the Armed Forces needed more tanks. In March 2023, the Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau proposed its design for an MBT based on new technologies together with the British company of the "Tuscany" Heavy Engineering Bureau - TUS "Budanov". In May of the same year, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approved the project and agreed to mass production. In August, the first 9 TUS Mk.IS (S-sturm) MBT rolled out of the assembly line. The tanks took part in the assault on Luhansk in September. The combat efficiency exceeded that of the Oplot. 0 our tanks to 12 Russian tanks. A month later that year, Ukroboronprom modernizes the tank by installing a 140 mm GU-23-14 smoothbore gun and a unique GDT-94 gas turbine engine in the turret. The tank received the TUS Mk.VM "Budanov" index (all previous upgrades were only prototypes, namely Mk.II, Mk.III). Information about the tank's armor and speed is highly classified, but according to experts, the tank has incredible dynamic and active protection that even the American Abrams-X tank does not have, its speed is higher than the Panther KF51, and the gun pierces tanks through, but these are just estimates and guesses. We can only say that the tank proved to be effective in the battle near Luhansk and Avdiivka. According to eyewitnesses: "-Each shot was like an explosion of a high-explosive shell near your ear and you could just get a concussion, and when the shell entered an enemy T-90M, its turret was 35 meters above the body, no one has ever seen such beautiful explosions of enemy tanks." - Commander of the 1st Separate Tank Brigade.
